I think it's more likely they risk thurman vs crawford before spence. (Although i'd doubt it, unless he again seperates himself under his umbrella). Just make the damn fights happen when they matter, someone will seperate themselves as thurman did from the welterweight division in his reign, and when two accomplished fighters come together you got your big event. It should really happen next, or at least later this year. I don't understand why fans would rather just not watch it now, I really don't get it unless they're just favoring one of the two and feel that delaying the fight benefits their preferred fighter.

100%. Big fights like this NEVER happen when there are so many players on the field still. I mean despite most or for sure many of us feeling that Bud & Spence are the top two you could argue they have the worst 147lb resumes oddly enough. Thurman & Manny got the best resumes. Porter has fought Thurman, Danny & Brook. Spence's best win is Brook by a mile. Bud's best win is probably Horn ffs. Both Bud & Spence need to enhance their resumes to make this fight make sense to both of them. Sure it would be better for us fans if they would fight now & someone just gots a L when they likely fight again if they are proven to be the top 2 at a future date, but the business of boxing don't work like that & this is a business & Bud & Spence are wanting to get the most money for what is probably going to be the most risky fight for both of them. Crawford is 31, he aint got much time left in his prime. Fight should happen now or never, theses are the two best welter right now. In my opinion, Thurman, Porter and Garcia are second class, behind Spence and Crawford.

There are 5 belts holders at 147 if you count Mannys regular belt you 5 guy at the top right now in Manny, Thurman, Porter, Crawford, Spence. Danny G was there but Thurman and Porter gave him his Ls he isnt top Welter imo anymore. Point is Crawford Spence are the top 2 but they need too take down everyone else in the middle and get their belts to fully unify as top 2 battling for #1. You're giving the belts top much importance imho. Pacquiao's belt doesn't count for starters and he's also past his best. Thurman either isn't ready or is also past his best. Porter's belt belongs to Thurman. It's clear who the two best guys are. Let's get then in the ring, run a trilogy and move on. Spence can cement his legacy at 154 and 160, he's big enough.

Not as big of a fight as WE the Impatient Boxing Fans are pretending like it is honestly. The Casual Sports Fan here in America are still learning about both. It is building momentum now though with all the discussions about it going on so it is going to be a big one if they keep winning and IF it is instead for ALL THE BELTS!
