A lot of you armchair fat Yanks show yourselves up for having a real lack of firsthand Boxing experience in situations like this. Getting hit low like that can debilitate a man and make him feel physically sick for over an hour.
How on earth anyone is OK with that fight being ruled a TKO victory for Terence Crawford is beyond me! No one is denying that Crawford was pitching a shutout, and hurt Khan in every round. But c'mon, you can't knock a man out by punching him in the testicles...
People are always looking for a reason to whine. If Khan would've at least taken his 5 minutes of recovery and still didn't feel comfortable to continue, then, maybe, there may have been something to complain about. But he didn't even try, he told his trainer he couldn't continue and his trainer proceeded to stop it. That's it, no controversy. Not even Khan complained about the stoppage, so I don't know why this is trying to be made into a big deal.
Khan used to be a warrior...he’s washed up now..AK years ago would’ve taken the time needed to shake that shot off and jumped right back in the fire fight...he’s not that same warrior and he didn’t behave like that same warrior...but I guess people are gonna overlook his past on this occasion because it wouldn’t support the narrative about Khan being a quitter...he’s washed up!...that’s all!!
Hunter didn’t decide without input from Khan. The rules don’t support quitting after a low blow, certainly not before taking advantage of the full 5 minute recovery time.
Khan was finished, he wanted to go home.
Imagine being paid $5M, getting hit with an accidental low blow, and not having the decency to at least wait out the five minute recovery period. Listen, if he couldn't continue after 5 minutes, he'd still be a b**ch, but at least pretend that you're trying to recover and continue fighting. I've seen a lot of things following this sport intently for the past 12 years, but today was the first time I've seen someone hit with an accidental low blow and tell his trainer to stop the fight less than a minute after suffering the blow. I've never seen someone ask their trainer to stop the fight after a low blow period, but to see a fighter demand it right away after a low blow is sad.
"Not having the decency"? C'mon dawg... Khan was beaten up and then hit with a debilitating low blow. The referee was to blame for pushing him to continue after 30 seconds! Should have left him in the corner for a couple of minutes.
So many people were salivating at the prospect of seeing Amir Khan getting brutally knocked out. I think a lot of them were also sexually aroused by the idea. Makes me sick to be honest, but that's how they were. When they didn't get what they wanted, they acted like a man who gets rejected on a dating app. Started chatting mad chit. "He a quitter doe!", "Should of stayed in der so I got to see him KTFO doe!"
My question is why didn't Khan protest when they stopped the fight?
Not buying the excuse of not understanding Virgil correctly. He looked like he was ok with them stopping it...if you didn't want it stopped you would have protested man wtf.
This pretty much sums it up. The ref should have taken a point and not hovered over Khan pushing him to continue. 5 minutes means 5 minutes.
Sadly Khan was also looking for a way out.
Take a point off for exactly what
It was a low blow definitely but not intentional
Ffs once I saw replays , it wasn’t even close to his fughin nuts
Sure maybe it did hit his cup but no reason to quit
That was his scapegoat
Kcon became a quitter this evening
Crawford should have a point deducted and khan given as long as he needed to recover. Even after so called recovering you may be 10% less than what you was before the low blow.
So khan maybe knew the writing was on the wall. He knew he might not get a second wind later in fight.

Can Khan make money fighting -
Broner
Maidana
Brook
at this stage :dunno:
Khan was awful last name that, truly terrible.
Ragged, slow and full of mistakes.
Even Broner would beat him now.
Yeah, Khan was all that you said he was.
Of the medalists and champs that came before Khan, where do you place him ?
Broner and Khan are our generation of ''what if'' that very rarely panned out. I go by what a dude is known to do....
Broner not doing enough and giving Khans chin/balls the night off. Allowing Khan to flaunt those attributes he claims to have.
Maidana might make ww on the scale but fighting condition ?!?!? Doubtful.
Brook has that ''no way am I going to let this version of Khan beat me'' thing going for him. It would be Swift all over again.
"Swift" landed another absolute peach of a left-hook, on a night that Khan was made to do a few more chicken dances... poetic in a way.
