People call things the way they see it and a persons gender should not make them off limits. Women boxing is a novelty and shouldn't be taken seriously. in the Amatures yes she did at the moment she's only had 9 fights, so still relevant imo. would be a good fight for the pros. Savannah Marshall is a totally different beast to christina hammer

No clue. I don't follow MMA like I follow boxing. But I bet you never asked the question of how deep the division was when Rousey was on top. Like you did here with Shields. That's the difference between MMA fans and boxing fans, they are more willing to get behind the women and take them seriously. Here the women get shit on and made fun of. Despite Shields having put on a very competent performance in terms of skill which should have been pleasing to the eye of any true boxing head.

The sponsors would come as along as she keeps winning. She could be the nicest, sweetest and down to earth person ever but if she couldn't fight then she wouldn't get the attention of any of the sponsors; Either the bigger ones or the smaller ones. As a matter of fact, they wouldn't even notice or recognize her enough to pitch any of their products, if she didn't excel and wasn't successful at what she does best which is boxing. It's not like she is some type of social deviant with a criminal behavior. She is just a confident individual. Could go either way She definitely has to fight lol

Boxed Beautifully! Nobody beats Shields damn and she is still only 24 years old and is a 2 Time Gold Medal Winner and now Unified Champ that is very impressive to accomplish all that before even turning 25 Years Old didn't she lose to savannah marshall?

I'm just putting this accomplishment in perspective like I said. I said respect to Shields in the same post. But not unlike Broner & Garcia are probably the least accomplished 4 division title holders in history, Shields is the least accomplished undisputed champ. It is what it is. And we are talking boxing not MMA. I've stated my issues with MMA numerous times here in the MMA subforum. And I do the same sh^t with those tiny guy divisions that got like 100-300 boxers in them. If there aren't even a 1,000 pro boxers in a division it should be combined with other divisions in some sorta way. You didn't answer the question, though. I just wanted to put outthere that i do follow Womens boxing a bit and no sir googles was not needed and all 9 names i just called out are the biggest female champions right now any die hard boxing fan should know them. That's pretty much where I am.. I ain't a massive follower of the women's sport but I keep half a eye on it and know the biggest names, and some of their past opponents - pretty much the same you listed.

I'm a Michigan boxer fanboy at the end of the day who's been a fan of Shields several years pre-Olympics when she started getting articles written about her as a 18-0 amateur or some sh^t like that, but lets put this in perspective to. Respect to Shields cuz you can only do what you can do, but there's like 30ish girls at 160 or some bs like that. How many dudes or other girls do you think woulda been a undisputed champ in their division if it was 30 deep? You always seem to have a need to put down women's boxing. The only thing she didn’t do was stop Hammer, but we all knew the power aspect of shield and the fact that women box for 2 minutes. Does she go on women’s P4P list of the men’s? With all these feminists things am not sure where we are anymore.

It really depends on if womens Boxing moves quickly. In UFC, Ronda Rousey looked almost unbeatable for a short time, but the womens game quickly grew and outgrew her. If womens boxing is getting more popular, i think you would quickly see an increase in talent level and strength in depth. She should fight Savannah Marshall. Marshall beat her in the amateurs and is currently an undefeated pro, she was the world amateur champ and beat Shields there. She actually has some power too and trained by Peter Fury.Well those two certainly need to get it on then; Especially for the good of the sport in general and for women's boxing in particular.
