What made Salido different?

Loma got exposed. It is what it is. Just spare us with the experiences excuses. Salido was a cherry pick. We all know. Arum doesn't throw his fighters to the wolves. He's not in a rush to make the Lopez fight anytime soon, even though the kid is begging for that fight. Bob just straight up overestimated Lomachenko. The Mexican put fear in Loma's heart. He's scared to move up to 140 based on how Salido's size and physicality troubled him

Salido is bigger and his offence is his defence. Lomachenko is too powerful when moving forward. If you can't do the reverse, and all you can do is move backward, don't even think of fighting Loma. It's pointless.

Maybe just Maybe Loma learned from that experience and grew as a fighter

Many great fighters have losses early in their career. It's not a big deal.

I'm sure Loma learnt more from Salido than most of his bigger names in pro boxing. If he were to re-match him now it wouldn't even be close.

solido came in huge, worked the body and dick, and it was loma's first 12 round fight. I think loma was not active enough in the early parts of the fight. I think he wasn't sure how to pace himself - -Salido hitting on the break too. Laurence Cole one of a long line of dirty refs jumped on Loma everytime he got on top. Boxing was embarrassed a rank AMA in his 2nd fight could win a title, hence the dirtiest title fights I've ever seen.

Even though he is a dirty cheat he was able to put the pressure on. While fighters like Pedreza, Crolla , marriaga from the start started running around the ring. Pedraza who went forward and stalked Tank, Crolla who pressured Linares, Marriaga who gave Valdez hell and pressured him along with Walters. Why cant other fighters do that? Don’t under estimate Throwing elbows, thumbing & ball blasting. It works great!

Loma simply has gone better....wich is obvious and expected to get better from your second pro fight. I think he would can crush salido now... But that is just my opinion...

I hate how nobody mentions that Salido the only blood n guts fighter Loma ever faced. He not gonna lay down for nobody. That and him "using all his tools" lol. Reason why he was able to beat Loma

Salido fought in a way that Loma wasn't used to. Loma was used to fighting clean fighters. Salido made it rough and dirty. He was constantly in his face and applied heavy pressure, something other fights can't do. He wasn't ready for that style at that time. Plus, Loma had a bad strategy going into that fight. He tried to pace himself to make it 12 rounds. But once he turned up the heat in the 12th round he nearly stopped Salido. So it was a couple of things: Veteran experience and poor game planning.

DISAGREE People say Salido came in overweight but I think weight was only a minor difference; the biggest factor was Salido holding and hitting low which the ref allowed Salido to get away with. IMO weight was not the major factor in that fight, the referring was. A loss dont mean shit, every great fighter in the mfing world has lost Disagree as well: If Floyd had a loss he wouldn't be able to market his undefeated record, nor would Deontay Wilder in regards to an Anthony Joshua mega-fight. Undefeated records matter with casuals, especially when talking heads mention them on media. Undefeated records are a marketing tool in the modern world.

It was Salido's workrate, body attack, and reach. He kept throwing the whole fight. Also Lomachenko never got the distance right until much later in the fight. I think he underestimated Salido's long reach. Salido kept touching him to the body when Lomachenko though the he was at a safe distance. By the late rounds Salido was gassed. Probably his poor preparation seing he was overweight. That's one of the reason Lomachenko had success. I think Lomachenko would've got the best of Salido if they had a rematch but it would still be a close fight.

Because Vasyl Lomachencko comes to fight & Orlando "Jason Voorhees" comes to kill. It's sad that a real boxing Warrior like Orlando Salido, who gave boxing fans so many great memorable fights, couldn't get his million dollar payday and direct rematch to beat Lomachencko again. Bob Arum & Lomachencko cheated & black balled Salido for beating Lomachencko and wrecking their precious pony show. Orlando Salido is a legend! Salido has a better resume then Lomachencko, he earned his million's but was robbed by boxing politics , such a black eye to the sport.

its simple Salido didn't give a rat ass about Loma boxing every moron out there tries to box with Loma Salido went in and just bang not scared to get hit. this whole crap Salido cheated is BS he was a cherry pick to begin with it back fired . Up coming Walters, Nonito, the African fighter Nonito won the belt from, Russell, who else? He fought all of them.
