Which big fight did Crolla get in the way of Lomachenko having? There was nothing for him anyway. Arum taking out his inability to get his main guys big fights on Crolla. Cant provide jack **** for Crawford, Loma, Ramirez x2, Ancajas. Fury has a long line of trash to look at with Top Rank. Only good fights Arum can make are at LHW, and then he goes have them all fight some other dudes.
Can't argue with this....

That is a good point mammoth. Crolla is definitely a top 10 LW and close to top 5, its just that Lomachenko is so much better than him that this fight becomes a mismatch. Crolla is not a bad fighter he just looks bad in comparison to Lomachenko.
Crolla is ok. He has no chance in this but he isn't a bum, he's a solid enough fighter but always going to fall short at a high level.
It's a mandatory though and Crolla rightfully earned his shot, so what can you do outside of vacating?
I have no problem with these fights as long as the fighter is fighting regularly and has big challenges along with these easier defences. It's not really possible to make the biggest fights every time if you are a fighter that fights regularly and wants to win titles and defend them.
Arums been a twat through all this, considering hes going to be pushing for the heavyweight equivalent of this fight when he wants Joshua to fight the equally unappealing Pulev.
Crolla isn't a bum but it's not an interesting fight in the slightest. The criticism Loma has gotten for fulfilling a mandatory is more harsh than what I've seen for certain other fighters facing lower ranked, lesser credentialed, lesser talented fighters.
The best we can hope for is that Loma puts on a show and then we can look forward to Commey next for another belt.
It's perfectly fine for Loma and 97G to waste their primes taking garbage fights. Meanwhile young guys in their early 20s are getting shat on for not fighting killers back to back to back
Because Loma didn't have to take this fight to keep his title as Crolla is
his mandatory? He wanted to unify with Commey in his goal to become undisputed, do you not support that? Commey is the one who pulled out with an injury

This is a garbage fight. If this was anyone other than Loma or a few select other NSB favorites you guys would all post it was garbage and not find ways to justify it.
He is a decent lightweight and a reasonable title challenger but Loma is pfp top 1 or 2 so Crolla gets his ass soundly kicked most likely.
This. I like Crolla and he's earned my respect down the years, but this fight will be very one sided.
Off the top of my head I can't think of another non-title holder in the division with a stronger streak than Crolla's pair of wins over Burns and Yordan. People can't complain about him getting a title shot when none of the other contenders have a better argument
