When is the last time a fight got made when it was "supposed to" be made for the fans

And I said it was only made with ease because there was no real threat Floyd knew he would be easy work. Canelo now is another beast and there is no way he would get a shot at Floyd even if Floyd was 10 years younger. Too much threat.

It happens. But they're usually not HUGE ppv fights....rather they are two top guys meeting when fan interest has clearly risen. Recently...Loma-Linares was demanded - at least for either Mikey or Loma to fight. And that fight happened relatively soon when Loma moved up to 135. But Crawford and Spence is going to be more difficult. I like Spence, but there is absolutely NO demand from him to fight Crawford. That's not what team Haymon wants. Period. Golovkin and Jacobs wanted to fight so they did. Garcia and Matthysse wanted to fight, so they did. If your favorite fighters aren't fighting after years of demand, or at least trying to agree on terms....then they don't have the same interest as you.
