One of his managers said he's now at 75kg (165 pounds).
There were some statements that that was his fight night weight in 2013/2014. Seems to be fake.
His fight night weight was probably around 155.

If you are putting on 15+ lbs for fight night, you are not a small WW. Medium/avg would be if you put on 7-10 or less, putting on 6lbs or less is small. In his last fight he put on 17lbs.
He's wasn't exactly skinny as a rail at 147. Neither is Mikey Garcia. Still, Maidana is a small welterweight and Mikey is a small light welterweight. The size comparison (dimension wise; which matters a lot) between Maidana against Ortiz was hard to miss. That was just at 140.
Obviously I don't think he can make 140 anymore similarly how Cotto out grew the division. But 147 should be his target if he wants to jump back in with the elite.
That scorned woman syndrome is so prevalent around here, smh.
Sad stuff...no significant input, just constant jabs to make yourself feel better.
STFU and move outta my way.
Just let the pro's handle their business.
Let's listen to the person who's never fought a day in his life tell a professional fighter how his brain is effected...

Just because he is fat doesnt mean 154 is right for him. He is undersized to fight at that weight against naturally bigger men. What he is he gonna do, outbox those guys or use his speed? lol
Maidana fights one way and his style suits him at 140, 147 max.
And he's set to make a return at 154, right? He is too small to fight at 154 and won't be at his best at that weight. He looked a little soft when he fought at 147 and he looked good at 140. If he comes back at 154 he will have old age, years of inactivity and fighting 7 pound bigger men to overcome.
Don't these guys realize how their brain is effected when they get hit after being out of the ring that long??? Didn't they watch Ricky Hatton's comeback in 2012???
Good luck to him, but I hope he takes at least 3 tune ups before he jumps back in the water. He's good for fighting in his home country, so 3 tune ups can happen in a matter of months.

He's definitely came a long, long way since the last time I saw him.
He was 165lbs vs Mayweather.

I personally find hard to believe both weights.

No way is he 165 pounds. I saw an interview with Ariza recently and he said Maidana started at like 210 pounds and is now down around 190 pounds. So I'm to believe in a weeks span he lost 25 pounds? Find it hard to believe.
Still fleshy, but honestly in much better shape than 2-3 months ago. If he can get back to... 75% of what he was, would love to see him against Charlo or Hurd.
