Is Prograis vs Relikh really doing this bad?

FFS you guys in the states need to get behind the WBSS or it'll fade away. Do you guys only support cherrypickers over there or something?! Mofos who are protecting the "0"… This is a tournament with the best fighting the best but dudes there would rather watch Davis dispatch some 122lber It's not that. I'd say it's more like nobody really cares about DAZN or Sky Sports here. These kinda guys should be exposed to a wider audience by known local networks like ESPN, Showtime, or Fox. More people would care that way.

True, but at least in the short term the revenue from DAZN will keep the WBSS afloat in the US, and they’ve got big backers. DAZN will want as much high quality boxing content as they can get. Think they’ll figure it out at some point... hopefully Im not even sure if DAZN puts up that much money for the streaming rights. WBSS were not able to get any other broadcasters to show these fights in the US. I'm not sure how many, but a healthy amount of fights have been streamed on youtube because of that. And according to the viewer numbers, only a couple thousand watched those fights on youtube. If there is no demand for the WBSS tournament, then they wont be able to command that high of a pricetag for the streaming rights. From the perspective of germany, the first season was streamed by a streaming site specialised for fighting content (RANfighting). The tournament probably didnt do much in terms of PPV buys, because they didnt pick it up for a second season. WBSS is an awesome idea, but their marketing is really lowkey. They are not even trying to get casuals interested for these fights. It's only marketed for hardcore boxing fans.

I mean thats one way of putting it, but another way of putting it is that if you keep putting fights on in places that sell out only 25% of the venue it won't be long before this WBSS thing isn't a thing doe is the problem with the way you are talking. Granted its not your problem or my problem in figuring out this clear problem & your & my first desire is to just see the damn fight, but if you wanna keep seeing the damn fights someone needs to figure this sh^t out cuz its not sustainable. I somewhat agree. Popularity contests don't matter to me, what matters to me is that the sport does well. This is a good card, it deserves to be seen. I see what you’re saying, my point was was based on a selfish standpoint that as long as I get to watch it I’m all good.

The ticket sales don’t impact the fighter’s purse in the WBSS. As long as the best are fighting the best in the WBSS, who cares about how many they’ve sold? I somewhat agree. Jesus christ. This is awful. Why the **** would you put it there? That's ****ign idiotic. This fight should have been somewhere like, in Texas. You have 5 major metropolitan areas near each other (left out Austin & Fort worth) like Dallas, San Antonio, even Houston-- that's where this fight should have been. Whoever's bright idea this was is a ****ing moron. Lafayette, Louisiana? I'm not going there to see a fight. Neither are the fanbase.

Just a bunch of swampland and weird cajuns down there and Prograis hasn't really had any promotion in the US before this, so there are no big draws. I'd argue this card as constructed wouldn't have sold anywhere in the states, but picking a small Louisiana town in hopes of Prograis fans filling it was really a dumb move. They could have at least gotten a couple K people if they went to one of the regular boxing hubs

This should have been co-main for Taylor/Baranchyk and the two 118 fights should have been in Japan
