He is not worth what they want for him.
I just read an article from the LA Times which quotes Al Haymon as telling Wilder the $40m offer was "training camp money" for Floyd Mayweather, and therefore shouldn't be accepted. So, is Haymon putting Wilder in the same earning bracket as Floyd now? Nobody in their right mind will pay Wilder that kind of money. It is clear they are trying to cash all their chips with the Anthony Joshua fight. I'm not critisizing them for that, but it is crystal clear.
Ive said for ages they have been looking to cash in their chips but they want it all on their terms so they can maximise their cheating potential and maybe pull of an upset so they have cashed in their chips and they get them back as Wilder is Undisputed. The only offers they are taking are ones that include Wilder fighting on Their network and nobody elses.
But then Hearn and Joshua dont want to fight on a PBC event for the exact same reasons, cheating potential. They only saw it happen to poor Tyson Fury recently and they saw what happened in the Ortiz fight too.
Yeah dude came in and proved the OP right straight away with his Wilder fan PR routine. Step 1. Randomly deflect onto GGG Step 2. Claim Wilder is worth $20M more than anybody offers him, no matter how much he is offered Step 3. Pivot away while throwing random numbers around based upon logic that makes no sense "Yeah AJ-Wilder will generate $900B because 2 unbeaten HWs, UK vs US" even though Wilder-Fury matched that description and failed to generate anywhere near that.
Let's see how many ways you proved that you're a wanker.
1. I have repeatedly stated that I think AJ will win the fight. So there is no Wilder fan PR routine.
2. Wilder just got offered $25M more than Eur0trash fanboys said he was worth. So even if I'm off $20M it's still closer than the ilk you are supporting.
3. Random numbers? Go search my post history boyo, you'll find that all along I've been far closer to the correct numbers on this fight than almost anyone else. Now it came out what that fight was worth and I'm now raising that prediction if both guys perform well on the next fight. Do you think they'll remain static or go down? No, good performances will raise the overall bar on that fight and I think it'll sell like hotcakes on both sides of the Atlantic.
4. I don't falsely quote people, so piss off. :tool:
5. Fury has never been a draw in the US, where he's largely seen as a mentally unstable mediocre fighter who pissed away the title he won on a fluke, is a boring fighter and doesn't even hold a current title. AJ is a gold medal winner, looks like an Adonis, knocks pissboys out, is fighting in the US to raise his profile and holds a couple of belts. Which do you think appeals to a US audience? Here's a hint - it's not the guy who looks like a middle-aged wino on the street corner.
Yeah cause fury has the same star power as Aj get your head out of your arse mate .
Aj is a nobody in America according to wilder fans. Fury is more well known. Anthony Johnson remember
Shirley and Haymon Own wilder
Shirley said it weeks ago “we won’t let him go elsewhere”
Something is up where wilder is trapped or is being taken advantage by two old figures who are the modern day don king and bob arum it seems
They have cost wilder over 140m in career earnings lmao
Soon it will come crashing down when wilder loses and he will lose eventually as the ref or judges won’t save him
He will have a mental breakdown too when he realises what he has lost
You could be onto something there scum of the scum.

I agree they're trying to cash their chips in with the AJ fight just like GGG cashed his in with Canelo.
I don't think Haymon thinks Wilder is going to earn Floyd's $300M but should both AJ and Wilder win their next bouts without controversy, that fight is worth probably in excess of $140M (pulling a number out of my fat Yank backside). People have to remember that HW fights have always commanded a premium and that one between two undefeated, title-holding HWs from opposite sides of the pond is a promoter's dream.
Wilder probably can get $60M of it with AJ getting $80M. Both guys will cash in and if the fight is competitive, exciting or controversial there would be a rematch which would exceed those numbers. Then either guy could drive a fight with Fury for excellent money. There's probably $150M or more reasonably available to Wilder if he beats AJ and AJ probably has $200M or more coming to him if he can beat Wilder.
What's scary is that those numbers may actually be low. Most estimates here and elsewhere have actually been on the low end when talking about the gate for top tier fights. An undefeated Wilder vs. AJ is absolutely top tier.
At some point people gotta stop talking about this fight and what it could be worth in the future. It s a massive fight RIGHT NOW. F%$K the 'marinating' and get it done.
Besides, Finkel is not interested in helping Dazn get bigger and Wilder not interested in getting ktfo so I'm not holding my breath on this embarrassment of a liar one name one face my arse.
To be fair to Wilder & Co., if they manage to force AJ and Hearn into a 50/50 split just to get the fight signed, then they've played a blinder. But it is clear who is making the sacrifice for legacy's sake, and who is looking to cash-out. It makes no difference to any of us how much these fighters make, but it just seems now that Wilder's people are holding Hearn and AJ to ransom.
Stop bickering, brony. I've just said I would like to hear other people's opinion on Al Haymon's quote. To me I find it a crazy estimation of Wilder's worth.
Than why not make the tread about that ?
If that's what you wanted why ask the question you already had an answer for and not just post the article and ask something you didn't quiet understand about the the subject at hand .

What people usually do on a forum is, they make threads, give their opinions. Then other people post and give their opinions on the same thing. That's how forums work. So, I stated my own opinion, but I'd also like to hear what other people have to say. The article is linked in my first post if you click on LA Times.

So you asked a question than answered it yourself , why did you make this thread exactly ?

Wilder has come out of recent events looking so bad and almost impossible to defend that bringing up points somebody didn't even make is the most his fans can do. My sympathies to you guys. I suggest being a fan of boxing and wanting to see the best fight the best instead of just nuthugging certain guys to the point you jump into threads trying to white knight for them at all times.
Ok first off im not even a fan of wilder you can look through my post history were I have said that , secondly I wasnt even defending wilder I made a remark on how you basicly said tyson has as much starpower as Aj just cause he was undefeated and from the U.K. Also read the last part of the your post that I first quoted than you'll see what im talking about , seriously you people are so stupid and dense .
Read the posts dipshit. If he had said "The fight will be worth £150M+ because AJ has huge star power" my response would've been different. Like I'm gonna reply to every possible thought the guy could have in his head rather than what he actually types.
But yeah great point, Wilder should be paid far more this time than vs Fury because AJ will make it a huge fight and bring the money. Wilder only popular enough for regular Showtime now but vs AJ needs to be offered Dr Evil level financial amounts to take the fight.
Clown Wilder fans want to try and make out this fight will be worth more than it is so they can justify him turning down every offer. Even when it's a great offer, the line is "but if they offer this now, they are gonna offer even more in few months!" so will continually just wait forever, a cheerleader for the bank account of a man they never met rather a fan of the sport.
I did read your post than made a statement regarding the part that was so stupidly flawed .
There's a marinating factor on the money. It keeps going up.
But there's also the quantity of big money fights.
Wilder and Joshua can start earning huge sums as early as November of this year. And then keep making big fights after that.
If they don't start this for another 18 months, they miss out on a couple of $50m paydays. Marinating has to work bloody well to make that money back.
And the way Wilder's going he might only have a couple of big fights left in him.
Gut feel says we get a Tyson/Lewis style fight. Joshua will cement his legacy, a past it Wilder will get his last big payday. And we'll always debate what might have happened in their prime. If only this game could be governed like a proper sport.
He is not worth what they want for him.
