Deontay Wilder will defend his WBC heavyweight crown against Dominic Breazeale in May following the collapse of his proposed rematch with Tyson Fury, it was confirmed on Tuesday. Unbeaten heavyweight champion Wilder will face Breazeale on May 18 at New York's Barclays Center after being ordered to make the defence by the WBC earlier this month. Click Here To Read More]
I might be the only one, but I think this is going to be a good fight.
Nope, I think it's gonna be good to. Styles makes fights and the contrast here coupled with the sizes are perfect for a good fight (however long it lasts).
Breazeale is tough, and his skills are going up. He's been in with some tough skilled dudes and beat all but one. Wilder is Wilder, he can be winning or losing and suddenly knock out a horse. This will be good.
All Dominic has to do is watch the Duhaupas fight, The frenchie SCHOOLED Wilder with just a basic jab (had the chump looking like Hasim Rahman after the Holyfield fight), if he can jab Wilder and throw the right hand behind it we will all be LOAO that night.
Breazeale is okay, and he has a shot imo. He's big, tough and can punch. I can't complain too much, it's a mandatory shot that's overdue and at least they're not selling it as a PPV. Still, it's going to be impossible to put aside the fact that it's just not the fight people want.He seems to fight scared, but then after getting clipped, he throws hard shots right back. It might be interesting if he can handle Wilder's power.
Don't think Breazeale has the quickness to get off in time to beat Wilder to the punch. The power is real though, if he somehow does land on Wilder's chin it will do serious damage. Wilder by KO, rd's 3 to 8 but I would be ecstatic if Breazeale slept Wilder, can't stand any more of that dude's bull****
Just re-watched Joshua v Breazeale. Breazeale was tough and game, but little else. So slow, got consistently outjabbed, and looked horribly beat up by the end. Even though Joshua fought fairly recklessly, he was rarely hit with anything and buzzed Breazeale frequently before the KO.
That said, Breazeale might be a different prospect for Wilder, he’ll outweigh him significantly and is a big tall lump with a half decent chin.
Wilder by KO is the easy pick, but should be fun whilst it lasts!

I think Brezeale needs to work on that defense. Last fight I saw he took a lot of shots before getting the stoppage. Don't think he will have that luxury against Wilder.
Breazeale looked scared ****less and his best comeback to what wilder was saying was to call him a chump..
Best comeback would have been, "At least I fought Anthony Joshua"
