ESPN article explains that 2 offers were on the table for Deontay Wilder. One offer was the 3 fight $100 million dollar offer, the other was $120 million for 4 fights. Breazeale, Joshua and if Wilder did not want an immediate rematch with Joshua then he can fight an opponent of his choosing then the 4th fight would be the rematch with Joshua.
Sources told ESPN Wilder and his team rejected both offers.
At this point it isn't a case of Wilder ducking. He obviously wants the big fights. It's his handlers banking on being able to put together a more lucrative package. This should be really interesting to watch unfold. Unfortunate that the three biggest names at Heavyweight have to sit back while their management teams play a game of one-upmanship.
Joshua and Wilder were both on Showtime. Showtime wanted to make the fight. Wilder wanted to make the fight. If Joshua wanted to make the fight, he would have made the fight instead of leaving Showtime to go to DAZN.
Fury and Wilder were both on Showtime. Showtime wanted to make the rematch. Wilder wanted to make the rematch. If Fury wanted to make the rematch, he would have made the rematch instead of leaving Showtime to go to ESPN.
When all of the conditions are perfect to make the fight, and the fighters are on the same side of the street, then one fighter bolts elsewhere to make the fight politically impossible, that's the fighter you blame.
A fake offer? Is that still the scenario that you're going with?
and....
But beyond that, kind of hard to show you want a fight when you've already negotiated your back-up fight while claiming someone should sign a contract with no date or venue on it, don't you think? :lol1:
I never got this part. What the hell do Fury and Warren have to do with these negotiations? Was there an email From: Finkle To:Hearn CC: Warren?
Those 2 dudes have been bashing Hearn and Joshua for years, now they suddenly saw a legal document they have nothing to do with. I'm 99.99% confident this is bullsht.
Pathetic
It’s been exposed as just an email from wilder and no contract was sent
Wilder got offered 100m and 120m, he’s run away even further
The above is the reality but I’m sure you
Made your own kid
Has rejected several offers and it’s clear he doesn’t want Joshua, he fears Joshua and you know it
You are pathetic for excusing his duck and spreading fake news
Keep playing dumb if you want, lol
SMH, I just hope the Joshua-Wilder fight can get made somehow next after the Miller and Breazeale fights. This is getting depressing already with the Heavyweight division. Just somehow make the fight next, the fans deserve it, the history of boxing and boxing itself deserves it. Make it happen next please.
An email that was followed by Haymon answering the handful of key questions that Hearn had, with Hearn then presenting that emailed offer to Joshua to see if the offer was something that AJ wanted him to pursue. lol.
Sure, keep up with the fake news
A contract was asked and they could not get it
Let’s stick to facts
Wilder has turned down 100m to avoid Joshua
This bs about being locked in is a lie, it’s a guaranteed fight vs Joshua which is what you all wanted after Breazeale
Apparently he declined the Whyte fight according to you as they wanted
Aj in the contract as next
He got that now and has run away further
That he wanted the fight at that time when it's clear he didn't.
And what’s your proof he didn’t want the fight? Wilder and Shelley finkel did the following:
Sent a fake offer
Decline to meet face to face
Accepted a deal, then lost their pen
Refused to negotiate
Refused to have good communication.
Called more money than he ever earned slave wages.
But yet, It’s hearn and AJ that didn’t want the fight. And your proof? None.

Valid enough. In that scenario it would be huge.
But that's the most likely scenario already. It's just being offered prior to the Miller and Breazeale fights. Both seem to be being offered big money for the fights, plus a topped up income for their interim fights.
If Wilder rejects the offer, then he carries the risk against Breazeale. Lose and go back to being a nobody. There's probably not even a rematch given its a mandatory.
Joshua will have the rematch clause. And has a proper following. And a proper resume. And he's younger - he'll come back.
Wilder keeps talking about betting on himself. Fair enough, but he's being offered a guaranteed win and still won't take it. Why bet when you can lose far more than you can win?
My conclusion. Full of sheeeeit.
That's why they call it a prizefight, right? A touch better than 60/40 and 50/50 or a touch better on a rematch (you don't roll the dice, hit on the bet, and then dance again for the same money), and Wilder looking at 2 fights to pay off 10 years of work.
He accepted an offer last year, but that wasn’t a multi-fight deal involving other opponents.
Saying you accept it then refusing to sign it is as good as not accepting it.
Hearn deserved all of the criticism that he got for that first negotiation. Don't blame Wilder fans for not buying his bullshlt. Blame yourself.
I think what is being reported about the deal offered to Wilder seems like a good deal. If his team doesn't have a good explanation for declining, then they deserve blame too.
Deal with that.
pray tell, exactly what "bullshlt" did hearn try to make people buy?
It's hilarious to see the characters around here who've spent the last six months calling Joshua a duck for turning down $50m trying to rationalise this
For the record I doubt Wilder or any boxer would ever be "scared" enough to turn down $100m, no matter the opponent. There's obviously a load of politicking and brinkmanship going on behind the scenes. Haymon probably assumes the offer will still be on the table for long enough that he can fulfil some obligations to Showtime in the meantime before cashing out. Ball is firmly in their court now though. Joshua's side has done everything possible to make the fight - that much is now surely undeniable, right?
Wilder wants his freedom, and doesn't want to be tied down to a long term contract. Not a big deal. Once he beats Breazeale, he can still freely negotiate with either Fury or AJ.
Yea. He wants his freedom to remain tied to showtime.
If AJ is the a side, which is not in dispute, then wilder has to fight on AJs network choice. And that’s currently dazn. So after the Breazeale fight, he still has to come back to dazn.
So this excuse of being a free agent is just a lie.
I really wish we could stop with the X is ducking Y, Y is scared of X scenarios.
Joshua is not scared of Wilder. Wilder is not scared of Joshua. No fighter is ducking any fighter. They are professional fighters.
What's happening is simply business. Their teams are not liking what they see, for whatever reason, and the fight isn't getting done because of it. Many of us have criticized Hearn for his shenanigans, and I believe it was justified. Now if this info proves to be correct, it seems like a great opportunity for Wilder. Let's wait and see what his team says about it on Tuesday, and if they don't have a good excuse, then we can all go in criticizing them.
But if you ask me, the fighters don't deserve any of the blame here. Unfortunately, the culprits are the businessmen behind (or should I even say, in front of) the fighters.
Absolute trash. When was this same energy when AJ declined a fake 50m offer?
Better still, where was this same energy when wilder accepted the 15 mil offer, then stalled Hearn till they were forced to take their mandatory?
You wilder fans are having your fighter exposed as a fraud. Deal with it.
Well if wilder and his management say they can earn more than what DAZN has offered and go on and do it then you gotta say they had a point.
But they were saying this before the fury fight which was going to do 2.5million ppvs and net wilder 100 million dollars. Then it didn't even get close. I fact it didn't even do amazing numbers or money at all.
And now they are saying the same thing again. Just to remind you fine people that the awful disgusting lowball crack money chicken feed offer of 12.5 mill last year is STILL a bigger amount than wilders ever earnt.
That's the realism. Wilder fans got their heads in the cloud demanding more and more cuz they have some projections of what the aj fight makes. So far their projections have been a joke and they just keep overestimating the numbers.
Personally it all looks like a big fat duck from team wilder but then it has for over a year as far as I'm concerned. They just don't want to fight Joshua.
