Assuming he wins his next fight he'll be at 41-0. Not that far off from Rocky's 49-0.
If he actually did tie that record how would that be seen? Would it have the same or bigger impact as Mayweather's 50-0? or would he still be dogged by the quality of his competition?
I think you'll find it's the other way round. Wilder, his team, and all his sick weirdo fans who clearly need help, have done nothing but slander AJ. Saying he's a drug cheat and a coward. Saying he's fighting bums when he has the best resume in the division after so few fights when Wilder has done nothing but fight bums his whole career in double the fights.
But after reading your posts after all my time on here, it's not a surprise to read you saying this. You're probably the creepiest poster I've ever seen on any forum. And that's saying something considering all the nutters from the US that write nothing but lies, smears and deranged ****ing madness.
Seek help if you can. Thanks for the comments Sid-Knee. You've made my day. No one could have expressed those very kind and congenial words better than yourself. They are greatly appreciated. You're alright Sid-Knee as you are my favorite poster on this forum. Which means you are one cool bloke :cool2:
Another here who thinks it's a pointless stat. It would be a great personal milestone for him but doesn't mean much in terms of defining a boxer's level or legacy.
But...
If Deontay wins his next 9 fights, and he fights credible opponents then he will have been a heavyweight champion for about 8-9 years, continued to win in his late 30s, and would be undisputed for a part of that reign.
That's the stuff that would define his legacy. And it would be pretty impressive.
Good post and thank you for it. Too bad it was lost in a sea of immature tiny dick measuring by others.
Wilder has 8 defenses (7-0-1) of his WBC title. A few more wins over the next few years - especially if he gets a signature win over Fury or Joshua - would really define his legacy. 15 or so successful HW title defenses would be nothing to laugh at. He'd actually have to be considered as a candidate for the ATG list. But there's a lot of boxing to be done before he gets to that level and frankly I think Joshua takes him out. I really want to see that fight either way it turns out.
But even if he rolls off 10 more wins, 50-0-1 isn't the same as 49-0 and I think most of us agree on that.
Wilder was never invited in the ring lol, AJ requested him not to even enter:
https://www.boxingscene.com/joshua-want-wilder-ring-post-parker-hype-fight--126269
Great way to hype a fight, oh wait, AJ never had any intention of fighting him.
The Klitschko fight, Wilder:
"I don't have to desperately jump into the ring and make myself known to no-one. My name speaks for itself, my title speaks for itself and boxing speaks for me.
"Also I know the fight is going to happen. Whoever wins, and they are really serious about me, then they invite me up there like a gentleman and I will go accordingly."
AJ is one of those fake tough guy types that talks big but doesn't do ****.
He's talking about the Wlad fight you dummy brain.
You even quote Wilder saying he doesn't need to jump into the ring and make a challenge to anyone. Hahahahaha
Man are you crazy and dumb as ****. Go and take your medicine you complete dribbler.
Ortiz never actually failed a drug test, he was cleared by the WBC a month later & went on to fight Wilder. AJ cried like a ***** to the WBA and got him suspended/stripped WITHOUT INVESTIGATION. They literally did it to appease their golden boy AJ without a single shred of evidence.
Ortiz was PROMISED the winner of AJ-Wlad in 2016, instead we got AJ/Hearn waiting months after to try to get a rematch with Wlad, breaking their promise, then saying "oops we forgot we had to fight our IBF mandatory". This whole thing was a ruse, it's the same old **** Hearn and AJ always pull. They love to play games, drag out fights just like they've been doing with Wilder.
Hearn even knew Pulev would pull out which is why he had Takam waiting in the wings for a shot. AJ doesn't want tough fights, he fights the guys that got schooled by Fury & struggled with Bryant Jennings, he wants the guy that should've lost to 20th ranked Andy Ruiz, he wants the 40 year old Pedvetkin that was dropped by Price in his last fight etc.
This dude and his team reek of *****.
You got punked like the b1tch you are. But your madness still continues.
Are all Americans mentally deranged and need serious help? You're ****ing weirdos, man.
It's just a damn shame the length that you Englishmen would go in order to slander, malign, besmirch, defame and denigrate the good name of Deontay Wilder just to fit your own agendas and narratives.
I think you'll find it's the other way round. Wilder, his team, and all his sick weirdo fans who clearly need help, have done nothing but slander AJ. Saying he's a drug cheat and a coward. -Stopped Allen when Whyte couldn't.
-Didn't lose a single round to Scott when Chisora was losing on all the cards.
-Dominated top 5 Jennings when Wlad couldn't & guys like Parker are looking like complete **** against Fury/Ruiz (ranked 15th-20th)
Sorry but you can't say Ortiz looked like **** when he's more than outperforming these guys.
Ortiz was promised the winner of AJ-Wlad, that did not happen. Ultimately AJ cried to the WBA & got him stripped of his mandatory status when he fought Wilder & wrongly tested positive for PEDs:
https://www.boxingscene.com/wba-explains-luis-ortiz-one-year-suspension-full-resolution--122059
Joshua objected to Ortiz’s status as the mandatory based on the negotiations, and subsequent announcement that Ortiz would be fighting the WBC Champion, Deontay Wilder (“Wilder”), for the WBC Championship.
-Takam literally drew with the guy Jennings beat, do you comprehend that this puts him far behind Jennings in the rankings?
-Pedvetkin's best win since 2008 is you guessed it, Takam, the guy that drew with the guy Jennings beat. You seem to not realize how highly ranked Jennings was while overrating these other guys lol. Jennings went the distance with Wlad, Pedvetkin did not.
-Parker is another guy that has never beaten anybody ranked as low as Jennings. He should've lost to Ruiz who is like 20th in the division.
You seem to live in a fantasy world where Takam, Pedvetkin, Ruiz, Parker, etc. have proven more than Bryant Jennings when they haven't. Where Jennings going the distance with Wlad & taking him to 116-111 on 2 cards means nothing, where Wlad didn't get schooled by Fury 2 years earlier.
AJ's resume is a joke. The whole UK scene is, all these guys do is fight bums and look like **** against them, then claim #1 status.
Had the Chisora fight continued after the knockdown, Chisora would have been in front. Try again sweetheart.
Yeah, Ortiz is better than Wlad. Hahahahaha. And Laing is better than Hagler and Leonard because he beat Duran clearer than Hagler, and didn't lose the first fight like Leonard did. I could do this all night. Haha. Good luck typing out a load of bull**** and furthering Ortiz and his **** worthless resume. Jennings is a bum as well.
AJ objected to Ortiz being mandatory for fighting Wilder and popping, yeah. Like any sane person would. But where did he and Hearn get Ortiz banned from the rankings like you said, huh? You complete joke.
It's pretty much known that Takam should have got the decision against Perez. So try again. Jennings beat Perez by split decision. It was a close fight.
Povetkin DID go the distance with Wlad you clown. Jeez, how many times can you be wrong in the same post?
Povetkin and Parker are more proven than Jennings. To think otherwise is nothing but pure crazy. They would beat him. As would Takam. 4 of Takams losses would beat Jennings as well. Face it, Jennings is nothing but a joke, just like you, his fellow country man.
AJ clearly has the best resume in the division. If not, tell me who does?
Who from the UK scene fights bums and looks like s5it against them, only to then claim they're number 1?
Have you seen how many bums Americans fight? It's not just mostly bums, it's nearly ALL bums. You jokes still look like you could lose to them as well. Like Charlo, Wilder, Porter, Thurman, Miller, Browne, D. Garcia, Dirrell brothers... Need I go on?
Go and see who the Brits are fighting and with how many fights they've had. Then compare to your jokes and you'll see clearly who the jokes in the boxing world are. And that's not even mentioning how many cowards you have. Nearly all your fighters are ducking at least 1 fighter. When you bring in all the robberies and corruption your joke country does as well, no wonder you're seen as the big embarrassment you clearly are.
Now GTFOH you 2-bit joke.

This dude and his team reek of *****.
You reek of fanboy stupidity and psuedo femine emotional obsession.
How could AJ and Hearn promise Ortiz a shot at the WBA title in 2016 when AJ didn't didn't even win that title until 2017?
You posted a statement by the WBA to try and prove that they revoked Ortiz's mando status and suspended him for one year because AJ requested it.
Please try and find where it says anything like that and quote it here.
You won't be able to find it because it's a figment of your own imagination!
It clearly says that AJ asked for Ortiz be removed as his mando because Ortiz was negotiating and subsequently announced a fight with Wilder for the WBC title.
It then clearly says that while they were considering this request, Ortiz failed a PED test and that was why the WBA revoked his mandatory status and suspended him.
It says nothing at all about AJ asking for him to be suspended.
Here's an ESPN report about the same statement:
http://www.espn.co.uk/boxing/story/_/id/21265419/luis-
"king kong ortiz stripped of mandatory challenger status for positive drug test"
"Heavyweight contender Luis "King Kong" Ortiz will pay a stiff price for his second failed drug test in three years.
Ortiz, the mandatory challenger for Anthony Joshua's WBA title belt, had his status revoked and was suspended on Thursday by the sanctioning organization.
The WBA's decision was based, in part, on the fact that Ortiz also failed a drug test in conjunction with his September 2014 fight for the WBA's vacant interim heavyweight belt."
Mmmm .. that's odd. I can't find anything in that article about AJ asking for Ortiz to be suspended either. Can you?
Did Wilder call Parker out while talking to him in the audience?
No he didn't.
Did Wilder call AJ out after being invited up into the ring after the AJ/Wlad fight?
No he didn't.

AJ is one of those fake tough guy types that talks big but doesn't do ****.
"On September 25, 2017, the WBA Championships Committee issued Resolution No. 20170915117 clarifying the Heavyweight Division in light of Vladimir Klitschko’s retirement, and authorized Super Champion, Anthony Joshua (“Joshua”), to face the IBF’s mandatory, Kubrat Pulev (“Pulev”), before facing the WBA mandatory, Luis Ortiz (“Ortiz”). Joshua objected to Ortiz’s status as the mandatory based on the negotiations, and subsequent announcement that Ortiz would be fighting the WBC Champion, Deontay Wilder (“Wilder”), for the WBC Championship.
During the WBA’s consideration of Joshua’s objection to the September 25, 2017 Resolution, the WBC reported that Ortiz tested positive for prohibited substances Chlorothaizide and Hydrochlorathiazide during voluntary testing with the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (“VADA”). Chlorothaizide and Hydrochlorathiazide are diuretics and potential masking agents."
It says in that statement that the WBA authorised AJ to fight his IBF mando before his WBA mando.
It then says that AJ objected to Ortiz's WBA mandatory status because Ortiz signed to fight Wilder for the WBC title, and that while that objection was being considered, Ortiz failed a second PED test.
It then says this: "As a result of Ortiz’s second positive test for a prohibited substance in a period of three (3) years, the Championship Committee orders as follows:
1. Ortiz’ status and recognition as mandatory contender is revoked. Ortiz is removed from the WBA ratings and suspended from participation in any WBA sanctioned bouts for one (1) year"
How does any rational person interpret that as meaning Ortiz was stripped of his WBA mando and suspended for a year because Hearn and AJ requested it?

Did Wilder call AJ out after being invited up into the ring after the AJ/Wlad fight?

Talking to somebody in the audience is not trying to unify with them. Wilder wanted no part of Parker and he most definitely did not call out the winner of AJ vs Wlad. He stood there very respectfully, said something about what a great fight it had been and he hoped he could be in a fight as big as that one day, then shook hands with AJ and went home to fight Szpilka, or whatever bum they had lined up next for him.

I don't even count Mayweathers 50-0 imo it makes the sport look bad. It also discredits the value of records when you fight someone who has never boxed professionally at that level and use it to get to 50-0. It should be counted as a exhibition only. Mayweather did some awesome things in the ring but he should be 49-0. You could seriously feast on people who have never boxed professionally and rack up as many wins as you want? Imagine fighting 50 "boxers" in their boxing debut and saying you beat Marcianos record. It's ridiculous.
As for Wilder there are some politics on display but for the most part he can't help all of that maybe some of it and it isn't his fault there's no one really out there that can take advantage of his flaws.
Damn good post.

Parker would have been KO'd for much less money than AJ fight.
I'm not mad at him. Parker was gifted that belt vs Ruiz.
To say Wilder ducked is comical.
But hey man, if that's your view
then.....
🙌
The facts are that AJ never ducked Ortiz.
AJ's first belt that he won was the IBF from Martin therefore he had to defend it first before the WBA belt that Ortiz was mandatory for. Ortis chose not to wait for WBA defence so he opted for Wildher instead.
At least Fury and AJ fought Wlad unlike some DUCKER at 33-0.
Ortiz was literally promised the winner of AJ-Wlad which should've taken place in 2017, that did not happen PERIOD. Instead Hearn swindled him, played stupid, and they fought the IBF mandatory instead.

You can say the division was bad, but that's no excuse for not fighting the best in the division. Wilder ducked unifying with Wlad, made no attempt to unify with Parker and then he ducked an undisputed showdown with AJ.It's just a damn shame the length that you Englishmen would go in order to slander, malign, besmirch, defame and denigrate the good name of Deontay Wilder just to fit your own agendas and narratives.

Hearn played him like a fiddle, he knew exactly what he was doing when he promised Ortiz the winner of AJ-Wlad, after he voluntarily stepped aside to allow them to. After the bout AJ was still dicking him around trying to get a rematch with Wlad even though that was not what Ortiz agreed to.
Wilder fought the guy that SCHOOLED Wlad, he was in line to originally face Wlad until he was upset by Fury.
AJ's career defining win is a guy that got taken to 116-111 on 2 judges cards against Bryant Jennings 2 years earlier and would later get absolutely schooled by Tyson Fury.
Ortiz did sign with Hearn, but he sure as hell didn't build his name. He had a couple of bums to look good against and ended up looking like ****.
The IBF called for their mandatory first. AJ would have been stripped had he not taken it which would go against his goal of becoming undisputed.
AJ ducked twice with the IBF mandatory? Haha. When Pulev pulled out, Takam was next in line which satisfied the mandatory. The fact you think he even ducked once, let alone twice, shows how deranged you are.
Care to prove that Ortiz was suspended at the request of AJ and Hearn? You nutters will always create madness in your heads that has no whiff of truth to it.
Wilder said repeatedly that he wasn't going to fight Ortiz after the ban. Go and search YT videos if you don't believe me. The reason the fight happened was in fact down to Haymon. Haymon promised him a shot at Deontay if he signed with him. When Haymon called for the fight, Deontay changed his tune and made out he was always willing to fight him, which isn't true.
Wilder wanted Fury due to being in a mess, not because he wanted to prove he was the best. No one goes after that version of Fury if you have any self respect. But we know Wilder and his fans don't have any. They're just embarrassments to the sport. They are there to be mocked, nothing else.
You're defending Ortiz and Wilder but calling Povetkin, Takam and Parker bums? See what I mean when I say you're deranged and there just to be mocked? What you're saying is laughable. Bums are who Ortiz and Wilder fight, not AJ.
Parker/Ruiz was close, but Parker won it. Maybe learn how to score fights properly. But judging by how crazy you are, i'm sure that's the least of your problems.

Lol at, "travelled to the UK and built up his name" That is actually funny!
The rest of your comments just prove what an ignorant and ridiculous poster you are.
Do you even know what "mandatory" means? Nobody chooses which mandos to fight and which ones not to fight, especially not with the IBF.
AJ was ordered to fight Pulev by the IBF and he was then ordered to fight Takam instead when Pulev pulled out.
The IBF mando had to come first because it was already due before AJ even won the WBA title.
And saying that the WBA suspended Ortiz for a year because Hearn and AJ requested it is just too fckn dumb for words. The sad thing is that you arn't trolling there .. you actually believe that shyte!
But why do you believe it? Have you got one shred of evidence that anything like that ever happened?

That's correct. The IBF mando was due before AJ even won the WBA belt. The IBF had given AJ permission to postpone it till after he fought Wlad for the WBA and WBO, because they classed AJ vs Wlad as a unification fight.
