Last I saw was fury got up, wasn’t wobbly at all and hurt wilder forcing him to hang on for the remainder of the round instead of trying to close it out like he wanted to.
Wilder gets badly rocked by Ortiz, hangs on to survive the round and staggers back to his corner...nothing but praise. Fury gets dropped, gets up completely clear and finishes the round strong with wilder hanging on...”he was knocked out doe”.
never heard anyone say that to be honest. we all saw Fury get up.
A lot of people are saying the count was too long, but it really wasnt. Each ref has their own type of 10 count. Some are slowe than others. This wasnt like a 14 count like Douglas vs tyson, you can maybe argue it was more on the 11 count side but he got up at 10. Ref clearly made the right decision because Fury fought back.
um what?
he didn't stumble once? the guy went down to the f#cking ground! did he slip?
you guys just aren't worth the time it takes to repond to you. keep in mind that that's only about 10-20 seconds :lol1:
Relax buddy...I said he showed little effect from the kd, meaning his feet were under him when he got up. Obviously he was dropped...he just recovered quickly.
time to get big timed
i have had media credentials for events put on by most of hte major broadcasters in the US. small ones too, but here are the ones you've heard of. showtime, hbo, and ESPN. mauro renalo watches the fight from a monitor similar to a gaming monitor. almost all blow by blow guys do it this way. higher hertz, no blindspots, it's often a better seat than being right on the apron. paulie watches the fight with his eyes, but he has two high end monitors in front of him and he's got somebody talking in his ear about when to come in with commentary on replays.
paulie's not only using his eyes to tell you what's going on, but going on years of experience to tell you that the ref did something remarkable in allowing fury to continue, because most referees would have stopped that.
and then you have my favorite aspect of this entire thread, and why you all are rarey if ever worth my time, the idea that the fight wouldn't have been stopped in england if it wasn't tyson fury on the ground, and you all wouldn't have been hooraying around because wilder got "knocked out."
it is what it is.
do i think wilder deserved the fight? no! did he knock fury out? no! but don't act like british 25 year old british fanboys, who have never had a HW they cared about or remember with a world title, are being honest when they tell you fury wasn't hurt, that he "didn't wobble" when he went down to the f#cking canvas!
Why do I care what british fanboys think? I'm telling you what I think, you can believe what you want whether it's that "experts" are never wrong or w/e else.
What I usually say is that Fury was extremely fortunate to be allowed to continue.
I don't have a big problem with the Pirog/Jacobs stoppage but Jacobs was less dead than Fury.
These motherfukers are talking while enthralled in the moment of the fight and likely werent watching it on tv where you can see fury's eyes, or likely avhent bothered to give tI a second look, nvm that "expert" or not you can be wrong, no need to hide behind the skirts of someone who is just as outside the loop as you. You seriously cant see his eyes open? Do they look defocused looking into space to you?
I've lost interest and couldnt care less what you think anymore. Listen to the ref himself, and we'll leave it at that.

he showed very little effect from the kd...it surprised the hell out of me, but it is what it is. he didn't stumble once and was completely composed.

you gotta know better than paulie malignaggi and a score of other experts and writers, who thought jack rees did a hell of a job and did something a lot of refs wouldn't do!
maybe there is something wrong with your PC, that video i showed you is in 1080 P on my end

You dont stop a fight just because a guy goes down.
he wasn't knocked out, but this "not wobbly at all" stuff is ridiculous. dude got knocked to the f#cking ground FFS.
and when he got up and leaned on jack rees, not wobbly, right?
most refs stop that fight. that's just a fact. credit to jack rees, he's one of the best refs in boxing at the moment.

Find a better quality video. Fury is looking the ref dead in the eyes, he even adjusts his head to look at him better to show him he's fine.
There's another angle from the side that zooms in, or just get a better quality vid of the angle you showed me, he is clear eyed.
And no, im not american or british and I know british refs tend to stop fights quicker, still dont think anyone would have stopped it in reiss' place, as soon as he gies over to check on tyson his eyes are already clear and he looks at him. When a guy is clearly out, a ref often times will still count whilst going onto a knee and seeing if the guy is awake, tyson was awake, so he gave him the chance to get up. If that fight was stopped that'd be the real travesty/controversy.

Fury wasn't dropped but he was knocked on his ass and clearly hurt.
If the roles were reversed if it was fury who knocked wilder down and the same result happened a draw, people in here would be crying robbery on furys behalf.
Black Power probably.
Yes, Fury was clearly being racist in not staying down and giving Wilder the KO.
Blatant white privilege on display.
Same thing happened when Black Panther failed to win best picture at the Oscars, it was a cinematic masterpiece yet the Hollywood jew mafia made sure it would not win.
What does a brother have to do to get an opportunity, more affirmative action?
Lmfao wut? Did you watch the fight? What did Fury's head do when he fell levitate or some sh^t? His head CLEARLY & without argument hits the canvas. I believe Al or someone else even mentioned his head hitting the canvas during the telecast.
Probably much more often in MMA where their are more legit KOs. Sometimes it occurs when another punch lands in a flurry too before a guy drops.
And "often" is relative in my usage there I suppose so if you took it as I'm saying its a regular occurrence that happens weekly or monthly or w/e that was my error in word choice.
They have an angle that shows it: https://youtu.be/5K9j65RzjpQ?t=1h6m25s
It should start at the timestamp of 1:06:25.
yea, he wasnt out cold although the referee did initially think he was
the referee jack reiss recapped what he saw and he said something like fury was startled when he got to the number 5 in the count because he realised he had to get up soon
at the 12min mark:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbrEfy-59C0
fury said he didnt wanna get up too soon and not have his legs under him
seemed like he prepped for the scenario of being knocked down. very professional camp.
Plenty say it on here. They talk about long counts.
There is some case for stating that some refs would wave it straight off but I don't buy that either. Jack looked him in the eyes and saw enough to give him a chance to carry on.
And when Tyson claims he was out cold for 5 seconds I reckon he's talking ***** to add to the myth, the story.
I have said, and still stand by it saying 99% of the ref's would have waved off the fight. By his own and the ref's admission, besides it being on video, Fury didn't even open his eyes until the count of 5, then got up. The rest is history.
I doubt if anyone can find one example of a ref kneeling beside a guy knocked down and out like Fury was and continuing to count while giving him a chance to get up.
We can't change the result now, but the rematch would have no doubt settled it one way or another. (If Fury thought he would win for sure, they would be fighting a rematch) I guess the fight needs marinating. smh

It's called bracing yourself. He catches himself as he goes.
I think that canvas thing you're just thinking of a fighter gaining consciousness anyway after a flash kd. I dont think the knock itself would wake someone.
jack rees immedialtey brushed fury's hands away. and we have a vastly different definition of clear eyed
are you american or british? how much british boxing do you watch? british refs stop fights for a hell of a lot less than that.
just f#cking look at this dude. clear eyed? most refs wouldn't have stopped it? do you know more than paulie malignaggi, the best expert commentator in all of boxing right now? get the fug out of here, please!
