At least when it comes to the heavyweight division. I don't know what else to think after the past 6 months.
We had Joshua saying that if he got $50 million he would fight tomorrow. Then when he gets an offer for that amount he suddenly starts backtracking.
After that Fury was given an offer for a 50/50 purse split against Wilder in a rematch. With the Bronze Bomber even stating that he was a network free agent so that there would be no issue with Tyson's new ESPN deal.
And what happens? The UK guy is again the one that pulls out.
Is this what they are made of over there? Where's your bottle, lads?
Id say that argument on Twitter has put that one to bed. The 50 million offer did not come with a contract and when Hearn asked for a contract the answer was no. The issue was never lack of funds like Wilders side kept banging on about the real issue was lack of contract.
Surely no contract no fight is not hard for people to get their heads round.
nah i think it's hard for yall to realize that you must accept the offer before you get a contract. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/DPeqicE65n8/hqdefault.jpg
Ah, so you never saw the interview that Jones did in refusing to fight Benn because he "Didn't want to end up like McClellan"? You also forgot that Benn travelled to the US a few times and won.
The fact an American can spew such garbage when us Brits have done what no nation will ever equal in fighting and winning away from home is truly warped. But you're American, so it's your job to be brutally deluded and wrong in the extreme. Americans are the biggest cowards this planet will ever see. They hate fighting away. When some of your fighters do fight away though, they lose most of the time.
Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe and Foreman ducked Lewis for years or never fought him at all.
McKinney, Norwood and Jones wanted nothing to do with Hamed.
Hopkins and Jones ducked Calzaghe.
Harris and Mitchell ducked Hatton.
Peterson refused his biggest payday to fight Khan in the UK. Khan had to do the travelling even though he was the star and bringing the money in. Khan then decided he'd fight the coward in the US but found to his cost that Peterson not only has the ref and judges on his side to rip Khan off of the win, but he was also on performance enhancers.
Bradley shouted Khan out before Khan had to fight Maidana by calling him a bi5ch and antagonising him claiming he was too scared to fight. Khan told him he'd come in his direction when he'd fought his mandatory that everyone was saying he'd swerve. When Khan had beaten Maidana though, Bradley changed his tune. He stated singing Khan's praises and saying he was much better than he thought. Khan, even though he was the money man, offered Bradley 50/50 split on the money. Bradley then ducked telling a reporter "But what if I lose" Haha. And that's without Khan approaching Bradley at a fight and calling him a bi5ch while Bradley put his head down and walked.
Broner called Khan out at Welter giving it all the big cheese only to ask for a catchweight when Khan accepted. Mayweather also ducked Khan, even though he put up a poll of who fans wanted to see him fight. When Khan won the poll Mayweather made his excuses and turned his tail like a punk.
Vargas, Garcia and Thurman ducked Brook. Thurman would give it the big gums when talking about the other Welters, but would talk highly of Brook when his name was mentioned and change his behaviour. Bradley flat out refused to even mention Brook's name.
Warren ducked McDonnell.
Crawford sighed an extension with TR even though he knew it would result in him not getting the top fighters in his division. He's a punk who wants to fight nothing but bums, just like that other fraud you have in Wilder.
Wilder ducked Chisora way back on Twitter after screaming no one wanted to fight him. When another contender said he'd fight him, Wilder said he'd only get it on with him after he's defeated Wlad and Fury for the titles. And we all knew he wanted nothing to do with Wlad back then. This was before Wilder had even got the WBC title. But when he did over a year later, Wilder and his team said they needed more time to fight Wlad because Wilder was inexperienced. Haha.
Wilder is ducking AJ even though there is a lot more money on the table than the so called bigger fight in Fury brought in Haha. Wilder also ducked Whyte for by far his biggest payday of 7 Mill. The dude is American to his core.
Davis is ducking Loma. Charlo's are ducking any kind of test. They just want the cash-out money against the top 2. One Charlo got put in his place by Jacobs after shouting his mouth off. Went quiet after that didn't he? No more Twitter rants? Haha. Miller ducked Whyte, Joyce, Pulev and Ortiz. Ward ducked Bute, Dirrell and rematches with Kessler and Froch. Andrade has ducked his whole career. Floyd ducked for most of his. Quillin ducked GGG and Korobov. Danny Garcia ducked a Khan rematch, he instead fought a load of shot fighters. Porter is ducking Spence, and Spence is ducking Crawford. Mikey is ducking Loma and ducked Linares. Santa Cruz ducked a third fight in Ireland against Frampton after making a promise. Hurd is ducking Charlo. Hooker and Ramires ducked the WBSS.
That's pretty much every one of your fighters being the cowards they are by nature.
Getting Americans into the ring, regardless of how great the offers are, is the most impossible thing to do in all of sports. Just look at Wilder and the AJ situation. Wilder is so scared he refuses to fight unless he gets half the money even though he brings only a fraction of what AJ does to the table. It's madness.
So how is that for history, huh? come back at me with a bull**** post and i'll give you all the times throughout history the American coward is a very real thing. This is just a short list. Trust me, this is just off the top of my head. If I really think about it, i'd destroy you with cold hard facts. So think before you type this nonsense again.
Savage post. Green K.
Same old story, protected entitled american fighters demanding everything on their terms and having the nerve to accusing brits of ducking when they dont sign up for a robbery. And the American media and fans Never holding said americans to account when they are blatantly ducking.
Fury clearly beat Wilder and clowned him in his own country because Wilder is too scared to fight on even ground. And AJ is going to knock Miller out in his backyard. Two cases of Brits travelling to America to hand out ass-whoopings. TS is as autistic as they come.
Fury fought Wilder after 2 years out and without any serious tune up. He fought Klitschko, the decade long reigning HW champ, in his backyard.
Joshua fought Klitschko in his 19th fight, with only 9 years total boxing to his name. He has beat 3 of the current top 10, and is about to fight another.
Joshua apparently turned down 50% or so increase on his recorded purses? Well Wilder did the same thing in their negotiations. Their fight didnt happen because neither team wanted to lose control of the promotion, the chance to put such a huge fight on the networks they are beholden to was too big to pass up.
Fury also is only doing what all the other top HWs have already done in getting proper financial backing and a base to build his career from, rather than always being the away fighter. Its obviously annoying as a fan, Im gutted that it was Arum he ended up signing with, who I feel is the worst promoter for working with others, but I dont think we can blame Fury for wanting parity in negotiations.
Dont get drawn into this bs SR. You are a good poster.
Yeah shoulder roll seems to have completely lost the plot in the last 6 months....we use to have great debates now he won't give credit to anybody not from the usa or is not black.
Its true shoulder sort it out your a good poster

Great Post! Some excellent points made in this post for sure have no problem admitting that! With that being said I'm giving you the perspective of how some fans feel in America when it comes to British Fighters and why threads like this are STATED. Do I agree with it 100% No! Some of it? YES!
BIG fan of Benn and Eubank BUT again STIGMA, the perception for a LONG TIME was "Nigel Benn Didn't Want Anything To Do With Roy Jones Jr" "Eubank Didn't Want To Fight James Tony or Roy Jones Jr." Eubank even made a comment about "Fighting Prime Roy Jones Jr and James Toney would've been Career Suicide" or something like that. Nigel Benn made comments about "No Shame In Being #2 To Roy Jones Jr"
But yeah of course, it is plenty of American Legends who been accused of ducking other Legends like Mike McCallum still run around saying that Ray Leonard and Marvin Hagler Ducked him. We know what Riddick Bowe did to Lennox Lewis. Riddick Bowe still gets questions by American Fans as well as fellow legends about Ducking Lennox Lewis!
The Different is, Americans we don't have a problem calling out our own when they are ducking or have ducked someone. You can find loads of American Commentators who shred American Fighters for Ducking. You really don't see the same from Brits as much HOWEVER! Now of course America is much bigger than the UK so maybe that could play a factor as to why you see Less Brits calling out British Fighter compared to the Americans who clearly have no problem going against our own Americans
Post of the freakin decade right here.
Americans are deluded cowards who 99% of the time refuse to fight unless everything is in their favour.
Well, I do the best I can.
But yeah, Americans are crazy. When they duck fights, it means they want to fight. When Brits want to fight, it means they are ducking. It's been going on as far as I can remember. I started watching boxing in the early 90's and had to put up with hearing lies from them on a constant basis. They run smear campaigns against Brits and try and get everyone involved in their lies. They think with the sheer numbers of them they'll prove successful and shout the replies down. This is what they do. I can't ****ing stand most of them for this very reason.
Lennox Lewis was the Ultimate Road Warrior, Lennox one of my favorite fighters of all times so I won't categories all Brits...HOWEVER History cannot be ignored when it comes to many who decided NOT to come over and/or at least did not step in with Americas Best regardless if it is Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn not wanting any parts of Roy Jones Jr.
But then you do have Lennox Lewis, Frank Bruno, Prince Naseem, Ricky Hatton, Carl Froch even more recently, Kell Brook, Amir Khan even Tyson Fury who had the balls to travel to fight the best
With SOME Joshua fans, some I do feel don't want to run to risk of AJ getting knocked out because they're so attached have have spent months talking so much trash, they don't want to look bad if their guys lose. That would much rather keep trash talking on the internet than to be prove wrong and having to Shut The F#ck Up!

:lol1: :lol1:
Bit harsh I honestly don't blame Fury for wanting a fight or two I felt he took the Wilder fight early and did well for himself
Remember the guy was out of the sport for couple of years and didn't make any money after he dethroned Klitschko fair play getting a fat paycheck
these gdam promoters are poison. As soon as they get involved forget it.
If they would just kick bogus bob out of the sport along with these other lackeys maybe those alphabet groups could do something constructive and have a tourney like the super middles did. Its ridiculous and its because the FANS pay to see it!! And because people try to rationalize the promoter's role.
LOOK. I am the first one to defend an athlete, movie star...Yes alec Baldwin is a twit but NO you don't have the right, because he makes lots of money to mess with him on the street... But part of an athletes responsibility is to fight the best!
Instead of harassing Mike Tyson at the airport? harass and do not pay a dime to see fights that don't matter. The only gdamn title for the heavies should be the lineal and before anything else is done, and I don't care about alphabet unification...more BS...No!!! first the 3 top guys have to figure out who is the front runner. The guy who unifies among the Joshua, Fury and Wilder is the champ! let thing begin there.
Bogus Bob, and the rest of the gang cannot force fans to buy fights. And no alphabet group can force a champ because who says a champ has to fight the mandatory? Lewis had the right idea, he fought the best he could at all times and when they demanded he fight the totally clueless Ruiz...the only fighter who had a manager that threw more punches than he did!.. Lewis told them to go fvk themselves and fought Grant who had a pulse and was considered a threat.
espinoza and hearn literally argued about the $50 mil a day or two ago on twitter. its still relevant whether you want it to be or not
Id say that argument on Twitter has put that one to bed. The 50 million offer did not come with a contract and when Hearn asked for a contract the answer was no. The issue was never lack of funds like Wilders side kept banging on about the real issue was lack of contract.

Now there is a guy with REAL integrity!!Been a long time since ive been on but now I remember why I always liked you.Good to hear from ya
Back at ya bud.
LOL why does this sorta have a desperate feel to it? For gods sake please cut down on the 50 million offer accusations nobody is even entertaining that one any more. Well apart from those that needed it to be real like your good self.
As for Fury he does what he wants he dont care what Wilder or his fans think, he knows that we all know that he beat Wilder in December so he dont need to rush, he dont need to take 50-50 when it seems 50% of that fight is not alot of money, not nearly as much as ESPN are going to give him for fighting somebody else and not as much as ESPN would give him and Wilder fight fighting each other on ESPN.
But at the end of the day the free agent Wilder isnt the least bit free and wont be allowed to fight on other networks even though it would make Wilder alot more money.
