it might be a bit early to give predictions but i have been thinking about this fight non stop and i actually think Jacobs will win this one. Canelo is just to short in my opinion Jacobs will be able to move around in circles he has alot more tools than canelo in my opinon. Jacobs has enough power to keep Canelo honest and keep him back. Derevyanchenko actually has better footwork than canelo in my opinion and Jacobs did pretty decent in that fight enough to escape and counter with derevyanchenko. Its gonna be a good fight. I am not worried about the judges at all. Canelo cannot hit that body because can choose not to be there and get out of the way. I do suspect Canelos gas tank to burn out in this fight more or less just becuase he had a good gas tank in the second ggg fight does not mean he can maintain especially coming down form 168. all that muscle will hurt him more than help him. Jacobs needs to mix it up fight on the inside and on the outside. the way he did against ggg. GGG jab was great to catch jacobs while jacobs was mobile canelo does not have ggg's jab. what are your thoughts on this fight who will wim ????I predict 7-5 Jacobs By decision
If it's close, canelo by UD. If Jacobs won 8-4 or better, canelo by SD or MD. It really sucks how everyone knows Jacobs only chance is to knock him out or win all 12 rounds so dominantly that there's no way they can give canelo the fight without an investigation and people losing there jobs and getting sued. Canelo is a great fighter and I respect him keeping it classy when he talks about Jacobs and being willing to fight the best, but honestly a lot of that bravery is watered down when he knows all he has to do is win 3 rounds and survive for the win. If he wasnt so protected and consistently gifted every single controversial decision id like him a lot more. I don't hate the guy and respect a lot of things about him, I just don't like him. It's sad. Golden boy and the corrupt sanctioning bodies r taking a fighter I'd normally like and making me dislike him. That being said, I still think it's gonna be an entertaining fight.
I think Jacobs peaked for GGG and GGG still clearly beat him in a close fight. I have not seen Jacobs look as good since his lost to GGG although he is still very good. Canelo gets better every fight. I think he hurts Jacobs with his wicked body attack and knocks Jacobs out in the late rounds or possibly earlier.
I havent been this hyped over canelo fight since he fought Lara.
You got to give it up to Canelo/GBP for taking on tough oppositions consistently.
I know alot of fans didnt think he’d face Jacobs but look at him now.
This fight is very dangerous for Canelo and it could be a case of miscalculation from his matchmaker.
I havent made a pick yet but im leaning towards Jacobs.
Where is the split decision option?
Canelo needs close scorecards if he is to set up rematch options otherwise how is he going to fill out his dance card. Canelo is only winning wide when he needs an end. GGG 3 will be wide in Canelos favour regardless because GGG is too old to wait out a 4th fight. Then Saunders will get beaten in the UK before the Jacobs rematch.
I actually like this match up. I think they're evenly matched skillwise but Jacobs have the height and reach advantage. I see Jacobs doing very well and still losing by decision. It's almost impossible to win a decision against Canelo unless you win all 12 rounds and your name happen to be Floyd Mayweather.
Call me crazy, but Jacobs has all the tools necessary in order to give canelo fits. He'd be going in there with a 3 1/2 in height advantage, and a 2 1/2 in reach advantage. He's shown that he can fight going forward and backwards, has good handspeed, good power, and good footwork. If he rises to the occasion like he did against ggg, then it would be a long like for canelo. Jacobs would establish the jab,and every time that canelo would try to work his way in,Jacobs would step back, send out a jab or a 1-2 and make canelo reset. Canelo wouldn't enjoy the handspeed advantage he did against ggg. That means that if he tries to invest to the body too much,Jacobs would fire off quick combos, and light him up. I see Jacobs winning a 7-5,or 8-4 decision, but the official scorecards look something like 8-4,8-4,and 9-3, for canelo, where he's given rounds for simply being canelo.

Eubanks Jr knocks both of these guys out on the same night.
Just joking my American cousins.
Still, there are (as usual) some great fight to be made around these weights. I am hoping Saunders becomes more active. I believe he is quite talented and we dont see him out enough. And what is Quillin Jr up to? Is he done?
It'll probably be an entertaining, competitive display of top level skill and talent with one fighter seperating himself by performing just a little bit better in one or two rounds. At the match's end, everyone watching will say either: 1) that one fighter just barely beat the other; 2) it's a toss-up and it can go either way; or 3) a draw wouldn't be a surprise. But when the cards are read (and here's my prediciton)...the judges will all have Canelo winning 8 Rounds or more.
- -Jacobs ran from GGG after the early KD.
Spoiling ain't never winning except in fixed fights. If Jacobs comes to fight, he has a fair chance. If he comes to dance, that style went out with TUE 50-0.
Canelo eventually loses if he boxes for 5 more years, but prob after DAZN ends, he takes an easy retirement fight and walks away with, what, a 63-1-1 record if he wins all 11? Something along those lines.
You are out of your mind if you think Jacobs is going to get a decision against Canelo, in Las Vegas of all places.
Especially with GGG on the verge of signing a huge deal with DAZN setting up the trilogy for September.
