So you're saying that The Ring, ESPN *AND* BoxRec are all wrong when they say that Jeff Horn is a top fighter?
ESPN and The Ring both have The Hornet as a Top 10 Welterweight. BoxRec has him as a Top 10 Middleweight.
So you're saying ALL THREE credible sources are wrong?
He's a "top" fighter based off of his close, controversial decision over an aging Pacquiao.
I mean if I was him I will ride that win til the end, but I don't think he's really a top fighter.
I guarantee you, Porter/Horn draws BIG money, as does Horn vs. anyone in Australia.
The ones who want to see him fight are the ones who understand how he stylistically fights. I said it before anyone else knew who he was - he's the Darnell Boone of the current crop. Manny was his Stevenson. But Stevenson had enough balls to rematch Boone and get his revenge. That's all I'm asking from Manny.
- Manny Pacquiao, a guy who has only ever decisively lost to Hall of Famers.
- Randall Bailey, at one point called the most dangerous puncher in the game.
- Ali Funeka, the guy who knocked spark out the guy (Zahir Raheem) that walked through a prime version of Erik Morales that was fresh off beating Manny to a pulp.
Now, we can look at Manny's last fights and compare notes. Because the ONLY guy Manny fought that was worth a damn in the rankings was Floyd Mayweather and Marquez...and he lost decisively to both. No shame, they're both Hall of Famers.
But that's what makes the Horn loss and subsequent duck that more damning. Manny decisively LOST!...to two future Hall of Famers...and a part time gym teacher.
Rios, Algieri, Vargas, Broner, Lucas...they ALL get stopped by The Hornet except MAYBE Broner, who'd likely go the distance and lose.
So when you take a guy who could decimate five of the other guy's last seven opponents, what are you left with? A Top 10 fighter.

That would do worse numbers than the Broner fight, manny clearly needs the money and horn ain’t a money fight
Where does that opinion come from? Sounds like wishful thinking to me.
Horn and Crawford did very well and you are missing the point that there are plenty of fans who will pay good money to see a particular boxer beaten. There is no doubt that if Horn fought, say, No Time in the US that fight would do very well $ wise.
And plenty of fans would be 'annoyed' because Horn would win :fu2:
only you and the other horn fans would love see it. but okey but must be somewhere outside of Aus, b'cuz in Aus they have a points system in place for headbutting, hugging, elbowing & whatever fouls one can think of
I didn't say that. What I mean is nobody wants to see Jeff Horn fight. His 15 mins of fame is over.

Also shows how much better Crawford is than Pacquiao at this stage. Horn is a solid fighter probably on the lower end of the top 10 at 147 and Bud totally dominated him. It wasn't competitive at any single point.

Yes,all three of them are dead wrong. Who the bloody hell has Horn beat? That old Australian corpse? He got a textbook home decision in a fight that he got outlanded by twice as many punches, and his face looked like he got a job as a crash test dummy. On top of that he got picked apart and embarrassed by Crawford. He's more of an mma fighter than a boxer, and when he's not allowed to use all his dirty tricks,he becomes a punching bag with no technique or footwork.

They are only credible if Pacfans think that they are. They are like a single cell blob so they think en masse and that single opinion beats all. You are a slow learner revelated ;)
Nah. The Ring even has the man as a Top 10 Welterweight. I ain't sweating these keyboard warriors, the credible sources know what the deal is.

At some point people need to recognize the Hornet for the warrior that he is.
Horn was a nobody then, he is a nobody now. What's in it for manny? He should fight corcoran and mundine every week and no one will care. His gifted win became his downfall really. Its only him and a few of his relatives thought he won while the rest of the world saw a small, old, over the hill manny busted a young, overly hyped teacher.
Horn said he had blisters and they sabotaged him by making him forget his fight shoes in Australia and making him train in a hot gym (in Vegas in June) and that he’d win in Australia so it’s all good.
Other than money, there's no point in Pacquiao fighting Horn again. Horn isn't in the top 30 of Manny's career opponents.Pacquiao beat Horn by a mile and got home country robbed by the dirtiest boxer in the sport and a ref that let Horn use every dirty tactic in the book and a few new ones. Everybody already knows Pacquiao beat Horn. He landed over twice as many punches as Horn and damn near knocked him out. Crawford showed how lousy Horn is when he can't hold and hit and use headlocks, choke holds, head butts, mauling and tripping etc. As you say Horn is not a good legacy fight and Horn is not a big money fight. With only a few fights left Pacquiao wants the best welterweights that make him the most money and enhance his legacy. Horn's days as a world champion are history because no world champ will ever fight him in Australia now and he can't beat a champion any place else.
Showed he's tough as nails though. Wonder how long that durability will last, guy got put through a hell of an ordeal both times he fought world class comp.

Yet he has a career win over Pacquiao.
Let that sink in.
