I feel like I see more one puch KO's or near in MMA now than boxing.
You do a lot of assuming and perpetuating **** you have been told.
I am a kinesiologist bud. Hell, I'm not just a kinesiologist I am a word renown prosthetics inventor.
My name is Adam Ramos, you can see me on Showtime, Channel 4, TLC, Discovery, and CBS.
I am the authority on this subject. You need to stay in your lane, quit perpetuating nonsense just because it sounds good to you, and shut the **** up when a grown ass man speaks on his own livelihood.
Anytime you want to actually compare credentials bubba I promise you I will embarrass you with who and what I am juxtaposed to your own supposed expertise.
I am the real deal and can prove it, you are the counterfeit who can't prove ****, know your role.
Oh and by the way, whatever non-kinesiologist told you a punch is not measured as a projectile is a ****ing idiot. You're twice as stupid for going hard at me armed with that nonsense.
Look up twice as much as you run that ****sucker and you'll the fool half as often, sucka D.
You ain't shít.
Rather get hit by the MMA fighter tbh. Not all, but most come from grappling backgrounds, and their technique takes leverage off of the punches because they have to be ready to defend other stuff.
Grappling or wrestling also affects the muscles you use for punching .
Btw, a boxer on 8 oz with full-on wrap and tape will more likely hit a lot harder than an MMA'r with 4 oz gloves and shorter wrap.
You idiot you absolutely can improve your chin and ability to absorb punches through boxing training. Techniques like rolling with punches on impact, how you position your head tucking it down before impact, neck exercises to strengthen your neck to absorb impact, sparring against bigger punchers so you actually constantly training your body to absorb punches. A boxer who has gone through all this training for years will obviously take punches better in a fight then a MMA fighter standing straight like a board with his chin up in air not prepared for when a punch lands. Most of the time these guys in MMA get dropped by the slowest and weakest arm punch you have ever seen.
Of course some people are just born with better chins but boxers because hitting the face is a science
are training nonstop at that science to get hit and aborb hits to the face. That's why boxers because of that training without a doubt maximize their chins and ability to take punches then athletes in any other sport. You can't tell me a guy who is training a best part time in boxing techniques or not at all will have a better chin then a guy who full time is training in nothing but taking punches to the face.
Boxer's chin > MMA chin
Explain the punch a fighter doesnt see. Why can some take it, and others get flattened by it?

LMAO. Having a good chin is genetics. And The more times you get in the face and your chin, your chin becomes weaker. You're clueless.
Err, where did you get that info ?
That is not true if we listen to Gil Clancy.
He explained about how punchers usually do not have good chins.
It's because they are not used to getting hit b/c they KO most of their opponents .
Having a good chin can be developed. Why do you think boxers workout their necks ???
Having a China chin is pretty much a curse . You probably will have it forever .
But, those who have decent chins can even be better .

That's exactly what I was going to say in a reply to BigDunny...Then I thought, "Why even bother wasting my time"? The lack of thought that some of these guys exhibit in their posts is hilarious and a bit disturbing also. Just imagine training your chin to become stronger by letting someone punch you in the head...Jeez, that sounds like a really intelligent plan to achieve an iron chin. These guys are.....fvkd in the head.:crazy:
Boxing gloves because the boxer has more fundamentals and technique to maximize the force being delivered. It was evident by the Mcgregor fight. Mcgregor who by all accounts was one of the best strikers and hardest puncher in MMA. But in a boxing ring he was a featherfisted puncher that Floyd who hadn't knocked anybody out in like a decade had no problem standing there taking shots and walking him down with no fear in any punch Mcgregor threw. All Mcgregor's punches were arm punches with NO leverage and torque on them. When you watch MMA they are all flat footed and lunging arm punches because they are not elite trained boxers with the technique to get your hips and torque to get your full body into the punches.
It's like a baseball hitter. It don't matter the bat if one guy is a professional knowing how to get their full body weight and hips into the swing while the other guy a non baseball player is standing straight like a board and just hacking away with nothing but his arms swinging like they trying to hit a pinata. There is a art to hitting a baseball, hitting a golf ball, and delivering a powerful punch which is why you see guys who are jacked and yet guys who are much smaller can hit a baseball, golf ball, and punch harder because they have better technique and skill.
Also guys get KO'd easier in MMA because their chins are trash compared to a boxer who has been trained and hit on their chin by harder punchers their entire careers so they can take the punches better.

Yes they are not as good at pure punching as boxers, because a boxer only has to worry about training for punching, whereas an MMA fighter has to worry about training for takedowns, wrestling, grappling, submissions, kicks, elbows etc...
But saying MMA fighters have trash chins is straight BS. They train to and get hit by kicks, elbows and knees to the head. Kicks deliver far more force than punches. There is also zero padding and protection when catching a kick, elbow or knee to the face.

First, MMA are the worst boxers so getting hit is not unusual, second how many fatalities have been recorded in UFC? now go and check for Pro boxing..
The impact of the punch no matter the glove size is no different..just more cushion for the hand
Idk, as someone who’s taken plenty of shots with both, it’s a different feeling. The boxing glove dissipates the force to a larger area...the mma glove you feel more impact on a specific area. I find boxing gloves to have more of a “brain rattling” feeling, even more so with headgear on.

MMA gloves are super hard and deliver a much harder blow with less force.
I fought in 8oz gloves and yea they hurt more than 16's but nowhere close to MMA gloves.
MMA gloves hit like bricks. User testimonial who has actually competed.
925ft-lbs is still the world record. Held by Rocky Marciano.
Know your role.
Here we go with another cheerleader. Brother man, Marciano has no world records. The method used to measure his power are from 1955 via ballistic pendulum. Do you even know what a ballistic pendulum is?
You do realize that measuring punching power isn't simple even today in 2019 right? As far as I know there isn't adequate techonology even today to measure punching power. If there was you know dam well every Boxer would have that rating on Boxrec or there would be video's for promotional reasons.
Slow your roll and stay in your lane son. Marciano was a bum that only fought guys on their way out or guys that were old nd blown up from smaller weights.
Marciano wouldn't even get past guys like Omar Shieka in modern times.

Look into kinesiology and know that as a fan you've been lead to believe some unscientific bull****.
Power is not something you are born with. Power is derived from pure kinematic chains. He with the purest hits hardest, end of. Rocky Marciano being more pygmachos than boxer is the only man in modern history to never bastardize his powerline for a boxer's technique.
Posture, positision, pressure, patience, baits, and line of sight. It is the one you did not see coming and it does require a pure powerline.
Powerline is a term I picked up from Jack Dempsey. I know it as kinematic chains. You know what a kinematic chain is because you've seen a newton's cradle.
Watch Foreman in my sig. **** powerline, just a lost of weight being a fist.
Look at Frazier, **** powerline, always moving his fist to land rather than his body.
Shaver's? You're only think Shavers because Ali told you to. Analyze him. He hits hard but what happens when he connects? Bounce due to a **** powerline.
These guys gave a damn about their defense. Not as much as Ali, but more so than Marciano and that's why Rocky still holds the record.
For point of reference Marciano hit about as hard as a .44....and I'm telling you son it ain't no fun staring down the barrel of a .44.
25 went into retirement within 5 fights of their Marciano fight.
13 directly.
The man fought 5 old guy and only three retired afterward.
Put Vingo in a coma and broke LaStarza's elbows the night Roland debutted what would inspire rope-a-dope.
You do yourself, the legend of The Rockness Monster, and boxing history a disservice by ignorantly denying this man's claim to legacy based solely on what you assume to be medically true.
Look into kinesiology and then tell me Marciano is not the only man with the physics behind his fist to crack like a goddamn hand cannon.
Know your role.
Not that Rocky wasn't a hard hitter but what methodology did they use to measure his punch back in the 50's to get that measurement?
Modern punching is measured with pressure pads placed on bags and hooked up to computer processors.
I don't think they even had those punch test games you'd find in bars back then?
so it helps cushion the hand but wont cushion the impact ?
sounds like ur making this up larry
he is saying this because floyd forced his opponents wear pillows for gloves lol.
