This man is no longer on the up and up. He's on the slide. Too much inactivity through his career. He has a solid resume, but he missed out on a few key fights when they were there to be made. Now his division has been taken over by a freak of nature in Errol Spence Jr., and a complete fighter who is better than Keith at everything, in Terence Crawford. Also think he'd lose to Manny Pacquiao and Shawn Porter, based off that peformance on Saturday. Not sure who he should fight next as any of those above named I think would beat him. Maybe Kell Brook, as I suggested in an earlier post. Two fighters who look to be on the slide, I'd expect Thurman to win, but if he looks like trash again then he may as well take a big payday thereafter. I think he should stay away from Spence at all costs, because it would be embarrassing and a shame to see him get his cheeks busted like that... if he's looking to cash out he should share the ring a couple of times with Pacquaio then call it a day.

I agree with everything you said. I also think his punch resistance is less now. He was badly hurt by punches that did not look that hard from a guy who is not really a big puncher.
He needs to get fitter and sharper, he's only just turned 30, you don't lose skill overnight, but you can get rusty. Thurman relies a lot on his physical and athletic abilities, so he needs to stay active to stay sharp.
I definitely expected a more dominant performance from Keith, but Lopez showed up to fight man, so I'm not gonna be too reactionary. We've got work to do. #1
Isn’t that how he always looked? Look at his resume. He has scraped by fighters by outworking them. I thought he was lucky to beat Porter.
Who has he knocked out or dominated in a memorable fashion? No one good.
He may be rusty but people thinking Thurman will suddenly look like an elite fighter in his prime are fooling themsleves
Holy shhh people will write you off based on one fight these days...talk about jumping the gun. Man was out for 22 months, the vast majority of which he couldn't do much in the way of an intense workout or punch with more than one arm for like 15 to 17 months out of 22 months. I mean shh I know we are looking at Floyd and SRL come backs after layoffs but neither man was coming back from hand and arm surgery.
He'll look much better in his next few fights, he needs to shake of that rust. Yes, ring rust is real.
Same with Kell Brook and Amir Khan, I think Keith Thurman showed a lot more than just being rusty. He was getting pieced up and looked hurt several times.
I think he looked really good at the beginning but fought the wrong type of fight in the other half of the fight. When he was coming forward a bit and using his combos Lopez had no answers and Thurman was hurting him and landing at will, it made Lopez make mistakes too when Thurman turned defensive and that led to the KD. However instead of capitalizing he gradually started literally running and gave Lopez a lot of unnecessary confidence and that made the fight tougher than it should've been.
Sometimes the safest fight is an offensive fight, a guy as slow as Lopez who doesn't use angles, counterpunch and been hurt and knocked down and out several times you have to fight him as well as box him, can't just move excessively like that unless you're Whitaker or Mayweather. I wouldn't be worried if I was Thurman though, he definitely will benefit from the fight and he'll be better next time.
He didn’t look anything different to what I thought he would, you don’t look great after two years without a fight and comeback looking great..... Well unless you are Floyd Mayweather.
Obviously never seen the Gypsy King dancing to/from/around the ring against Surfing Seferi.
