Boxing needs Ryan Garcia. No buzz about boxing anywhere, ever. Canelo/Pac/Floyd/Oscar/Tyson were the only ones in my experience where I feel they were talked about and can transcend or transcended boxing. I dont know about that. The fans were going crazy for him at MSG and he's got a ton of IG followers. I would say that as long as he keeps winning the buzz will continue. The buzz has died down since the Velez fight. Before that fight, he was getting mentioned often, here and other places. Since then, its almost like he never existed.

That kid is getting way too much publicity at a very young age and with not so extraordinary talent. I think that publicity might backfire drastically if he took a beating, his team probably knows that and they will try to milk that publicity and take safe fights as long as possible.
