I actually quite like the Crawford-Khan matchup

I give Khan little chance of winning but I think he can be competitive for a couple of rounds. Khan always tends to cause problems for opponents in the first 4 or 5 rounds and then his lack of punch resistance is usually exposed. It’ll be interesting to see how Crawford deals with Khan IMO, will he have to be more aggressive? Is there a significant speed disadvantage? Will he potentially be down on the cards after 4 or 5 rounds? If Crawford can completely dominate Khan from the first round, that’ll be pretty impressive IMO. What are people’s thoughts on this matchup?

It's a showcase fight for a Crawford KO of King Con. If it's possible Khan's chin has gotten worse, the light hitting Vargas had him down early in their fight. Khan's got skills but he's also got no chin.

Well it's a better match up than Collazo, so coming from that point of view I guess it's ok. That's about all I can say. I'm not excited to see it one bit, but if you're happy then great for you.

A shut out win over Alexander was a good win too. Alexander shut Maidana out. That’s his best win at 147 for sure, his only good win at 147 tbh. It was a good style matchup for Khan, but that’s the best pure boxing performance of his career

Khan is a very inconsistent He can look like garbage as he did in his last fight. He can also look great like he did against against Judah, Paulie and Alexander. If the best Khan shows up he could win some rounds . But I think sooner or later the skillful accurate fast punching Crawford will crack Khan's weak chin and finish him off.

You won't hear me complaining about it... Who else can he fight? -Spence is fighting a Lightweight -Thurman is fighting a tune up after a long lay off -Porter is fighting Ugas -Pacquiao is fighting Broner -Danny Garcia is fighting Granados Khan is really the best they could get for Crawford name wise and resume wise. I don’t blame Crawford one bit. He seems to be frozen out a bit. Unless he fights some from 140 or rematch Horn I don’t know who else he can fight. He can always dig up Bradley or JMM if these lot prefer those names to Khan, how about Zab Judah?

Me too, we all know how it’s going to go doe. Khan looking like a billion dollars after the first few rounds, by the fourth round he already got figured out and by the mid round he is done or already to go.

It will be interesting in the early rounds, Khan is quick and aggressive when he wants to be. But I eventually see Crawford breaking down Khan and stopping him in the mid/late rounds. Crawford is a much more complete fighter and he's a class above Khan.

It is a mismatch though which I suppose is inherently dangerous. A $5 million purse and what Crawford gets is an opponent that nobody really thinks can win. That blows my mind tbh. Every fight has an element of danger. It’s not like Khan is unqualified to be fighting an opponent of Crawford’s calibre. Crawford gets an opponent with some name value, to the casual fan it’s probably quite a saleable fight. I think it’ll be pretty exciting stylistically, it’s a better matchup than Benavidez was IMO.

It’s not Mayweather-McGregor bro. Both are skilled fighters, Crawford is a superior fighter obviously but it’s not a dangerous mismatch by any means. I like Khan and wish him well but there is no way I can watch it. I love boxing but at this level if you are giving 1 guy no chance you’re actually doing the sport a disservice by supporting the fight. It’s such a weird thing to target Khan at this point.
