I'm trying to make some youtube videos. I already have other topics but I need some help with this one. When I say dirty, I don't mean steriods/PEDs. I mean someone who uses dirty tactics in the ring. Can you guys give me some names so I can research them?
Sandy Saddler was a master of dirty fighting.
Floyd Mayweather used his forearms and elbows a lot. One if his tricks was to push his opponent back using a forearm to the throat.
Freddie Zivic used to openly admit that he was a dirty fighter and didn't care what anyone thought about it.
You only saying that cuz they beat up your favorite fighters :lol1:
You guys are hilarious . Check my post history . Never been a Lomachenko fan and I voted Ward over Kovalev the first fight .
Sheesh ...You guys are quick to jump to conclusions on here .
Margarito was actually my Favorite fighter for a while .
You just knew there would be a poster voting for these 2 because they beat prominent Eastern Euros. LMFAO!
Golota, Holyfield, Margarito immediately come to mind.
So I voted for them because they beat Eastern European fighters ?
Yeah . I guess . If that makes you feel better .
You should probably have specified recent history. A lot of what fighters like Ward and Hopkins do today, that most consider dirty, was common practice 60+ years ago.
Personally, I blame referees more than fighters for letting dirty tactics go unwarned and unpenalized.
That would of been an All Time Great Fight!
Georges Carpentier
Just look at his fight against Louis Mbarick Fall aka "Battling Siki", pure disgust. Every time i watch this fight it STILL pisses me off.
As stated before
Historically Fritzie, Sanddy Saddler, Harry Greb, The Mysterious Billy Smith
In rencent years Andre Ward, B Hop, Eusio Pedrazo, Evander Holyfield, Antonio Margarito, Mike Tyson, Saiko Bika
The dirtiest of all time has to go to
Andrew Golota the dude is the worst you just have to see it lol
1. Hopkins - His dirty tactics were so graceful I remember HBO showing highlights in the 2nd Pascal fight.
2. Salido - B-Hop style but with a much higher punch volume.
3. Rigo
4. Lara
5. Holyfield
6. Golota
7. Wlad - Be real, he got away with murder.
Hopkins and Ward had that blue collar grit/grind style that they used against opponents who were physically stronger than them. It’d be ugly to watch, but I wish more fighters would use those same tactics nowadays.
