You just don't understand law. Plea deals are used for two major reasons: They often reduce/limit sentencing (whereas going to trial could result in innocent/guilty verdict. Innocence obviously equals no time while guilty could be up to 10 years for domestic battery in NV....while the plea makes that sentene a few months). Plea deals aren't always offered Any/all evidence presented in a criminal case that results in a plea deal cannot be used in a civil case...preventing lawsuits So a plea bargain is like hedging your bets...and Floyd did a few months in solitary when he could've done significant time. And Floyd protected himself from financial lawsuit by taking the plea deal. None of this means Floyd was innocent nor does it mean he's guilty. A plea deal literally means "no-contest". So, again, Floyd is a ghetto highschool dropout that knocked up the kind of woman attracted to ghetto highschool dropouts.
