I meant "Great White Hope" as in an All American United States born White Skinned fighter ready to conquer the entire sport of Boxing. Not white Europeans or Eastern European fighters.
Canelo, a fighter of North American origin is as close as you'll get right now.
There are no Kelly Pavlicks right now.
If "Lightning" Rod Salka would have taken Danny Garcias "0" in spectacular fashion, would he had been boxings next "Great White Hope" ?

Toss up between Usyk, Loma and Canelo.
Don't count out Ryan Cowboy Karl though 2019 might be his year.

What are you talking about?????? No white hope is needed. There are lots of excellent white champions and if you don't know who they are then educate your self and find out. Boxing scene and boxrec have all the champions and their records.
I've grown up in an era and environment where I've idolised black sportsmen most of my life. So maybe it's less of an issue to me.
The heavyweight division just had white champions (Fury/the Klitschkos).
Not exactly a Johnson/Jeffries era is it?
Lomachenko, Usyk, Gvozdyk, GGG, Groves, Callum Smith, Klitschko brothers, pretty sure all have white skin to name just a few.
Then you got the up and coming white fighters Stoinis, Josh Taylor, Josh Kelly, Besputin, Jeff Horn many more.
Oh yeah and I forgot Rod Salka....lol!
