Jermell Charlo vs Tony Harrison
and
Jermall Charlo vs Matvey Korobov
BETTING ODDS:
Charlo: 1/10 Harrison: 11/2 (1.5x points on Harrison)
Charlo: 1/15 Korobov: 8/1 (2x points on Korobov)
Ways fighters can win:
Decision: WIDE or CLOSE
KO: EARLY (1-4), MID (5-8) or LATE (9-12)
Examples of the ways you can state your decision:
PICK EM CREW, Harrison, Dec, WIDE x3
PICK EM CREW, Korobov, KO, early. 2x
If no multiplier is specified in your pick (ie x2, x3) then it will be assumed that no multiplier is being used (x1)
If you wish to pick a Draw result, simply state your Username, both fighter names and DRAW, ie:
PICK EM CREW, Charlo, Harrison, DRAW
IMPORTANT NOTE: NONE OF THE WBSS FIGHTS CAN BE SCORED A DRAW - ONE FIGHTER WILL ALWAYS BE DECLARED A WINNER. ANY UNCORRECTED DRAW PICKS ON THE WBSS WILL BE WASTED.
NOTES:
-Draws are worth 120pts. A perfect pick without a multiplier is 30pts.
-CLOSE is <12 pts difference, or anything closer than 116-112 on all three scorecards. WIDE is >=12 pts difference, or anything equivalent to 116-112 on all three cards or wider.
-If you'd like to change your pick before the fight starts, post in this thread to do so. Ideally tag me so that I don't miss it.
-2X doubles your points and 3X triples your points. Everyone starts with 5 doubles and 3 triples to use throughout the year. If you forget how many you have left, check the leaderboard in the master thread.

Just for future reference, man, you want to use your username, not mine on your pick. When I put PICK EM CREW in the bit about how to make your pick in the original post that was just an example.

Im late but thank you man. I’ll make a note of it. :beerchug:
I've been in the same gym and personally know both Matvey and his dad for over two years now. His dad trains several fighters and amateurs including myself. I love the guy and am hoping his showing against Charlo on short notice will get him another opportunity for a decent money bout. As you know...he was supposed to fight the undercard that night and that fight was scheduled for only 8 rounds! That's what he trained for. So to cut weight, go 12 on short notice was impressive. I know I'm biased but if they stopped the fight at 8 rounds...I had Matvey ahead in a close one at that point.
That's just the tally, man. I'm still trying gather the resolve to sit down and start putting the numbers in to the leaderboard and update the scores... had a Boxing day party last night, and when you get to my age you don't bounce back quite as fast anymore. Probably gonna be crying about this hangover til the inevitable New Years eve shenanigans.:friday:
Hopefully have that ish done by tomorrow eve though I reckon.
I feel you! Next year I’m game to help out, if needed
Thanks for the update!

True indeed! Thanks for the kick in the arse! 😂
There's always someone around to kick you when you're down, man.:lol1:
But nah... good call, man. I saw a draw with Matvey / Jermall but I could easily see it going Korobovs way on neutral ground. And you are the only dude to pick Harrison...
PICK EM CREW, Jermell Charlo, decision, wide.
PICK EM CREW, Jermall Charlo, KO, Mid.
I didnt read much about the Harrison fight but he might give problems because he could box and move.
As far as the Korobov fight goes, from what I read, Korobov was under contract to fight at 162 on the undercard. Almost certain having to lose 2 pounds on a week's notice is gonna affect him (unless they let him fight over weight) but regardless even if it was a level playing field I cant imagine Korobov winning more than 4 rounds before getting stopped by Jermall.

Thrilled to see Matvey Korobov get this opportunity. I’m pulling for him. My only concern is that it’s been some time between fights for him and whether ring rust will play a role. I know he trains relentlessly and will be in great shape no doubt. He deserves this and I know he’ll give it his all.
Do you know Matvey or one of his team personally? I remember speaking with a dude a while back (can't recall on here or ESB) who knew 'em a bit too, said much the same thing. Matvey's just one of those dudes never quite caught a break and then when he did it went wrong, but I've always maintained he's one of the most technically skilled fighters around.
