Dana White pays his fighter a fraction of what they generate except for the occassional headline name like Lesner or McGregor the rest get their faces and ears mangle for scraps. The idea that an big name ATG MMA fighter like Liddell is having to still fight to pay his bills tells a story. Moral of it is if you like a tear up stick to boxing if your good you will make retirement money, if your not you will still make more than a UFC contender. I am a big fan of MMA just the way it pays its fighters leave a lot to be desired.
DLH definitely got destroyed here. But he was probably exaggerating a bit which hurt his argument here. White was coming with some facts. Max said it best though. There is a cap on what the top fighter can make, but overall more UFC fighters get paid than boxers. In boxing, it is pretty much the elite that get paid, and as Max said, everyone eats in the UFC.....But he isn't necessarily right there as everyone doesn't eat in the UFC, just more percentage of them do compared to boxers.
By your logic then other boxers are getting robbed as well cause not every boxer is making millions let alone 500k. You can't compare FLoyd to anyone, especially MMA guys.
Floyd wasn't Floyd then. This is Floyd when nobody but hardcore boxing fans knew who he was. Only 3 of those fights were even PPVs. If you want to look and see the numbers floyd made when he crossed over and became a PPV superstar they are even more lopsided. This is Floyd when he wasn't selling out small venues, fighting on boxing after dark and undercards of fights. And still he made more then liddell. And when he finally got his first PPV where he was the B side to Gatti he made more money in a 300K ppv buy fight then Liddell made when he ever made as a bigger superstar selling millions of PPVs. Floyd was making peanuts back in the early to mid 2000's compared to big stars in boxing like Oscar, Trinidad, Roy Jones, Holyfield, Tyson, Lennox Lewis ect. I already showed a few comparable PPV fights that drew LESS PPVs then Liddell/Ortiz UFC 66 and those boxers made 10-30M. Liddell got a guaranteed purse of only 280K that we can verify and even if you buy the BS numbers White is throwing out he only made 2M. So where the phuk did all the money go because it damn sure didn't go to Liddell and the fighters.
UFC either needs a players union or the government to step in like they did in boxing with Ali Act. Because those fighters getting raped.
He didn't destroy anything it's a fact UFC robs their fighters. Not because Oscar said but because their fighters, managers and other promoters have all stated this. What Dana did was say you guys are accusing me or robbing the bank and stealing millions. That's a lie, here are the receipts of the bank I robbed I only stole 800K LMAO
UFC fighters were and are being ripped off. For example back in 2005 long before Floyd was a superstar he was the B side to Gatti and made 3.2M for his first PPV that only sold 300K buys. After that fight he fought twice more on PPV Judah was paid 5M and 8M to fight Baldamir all fights that did around 300K buys. During that same exact time Liddell was a bigger star then Floyd making just 100-288K per fight for PPVs like his rematch with Ortiz that drew over 1M PPVS.

No matter how you try to spin it crook Dana the UFC fighters were and are still getting robbed. Making peanuts compared to boxers who are seeing much bigger piece of the pie for the money that is generated from these PPVs and events. Liddell's entire career made less money then Floyd made in 1 night to fight Zab Judah and almost as much as he made being the B side to Arturo Gatti and this is years before Floyd fought Oscar and became a cross over superstar.
By your logic then other boxers are getting robbed as well cause not every boxer is making millions let alone 500k. You can't compare FLoyd to anyone, especially MMA guys.
Dana White the crook plays dumb and quotes numbers that nobody can prove or validate. Here are the guaranteed purses Liddell was paid

Chuck Liddell Career Earnings: $4,630,000
What's Dana is saying is these numbers are BS he got paid more then what is reported but then compares it to what Oscar is reported to of paid ignoring the additional money outside of the guarantee that he knows Oscar paid outside of what was reported. Numbers that both Liddell and Ortiz told the media BEFORE the fight. That they were getting larger percentages of the revenue then they ever got with the UFC including live gate, PPVs sold ect. You can't have it both ways your lying snake and compare the before the revenue money is counted from Oscar but compare to phony numbers not disclosed after fighters get a cut of your revenue. The general point is even if you buy this crook White and Liddell was paid 1M, 2M or whatever he is saying Liddell got for his biggest payday that's a phuking joke amount. Wilder and Fury just sold 300K PPVs and both fighters could end up making 10M once all the revenue is counted.
UFC 66: Liddell vs. Ortiz generated over 1M PPVs and a live gate of over 5.3M
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_66
let's compare that to some of the boxing events that drew less PPVs around the same time and what those fighters made from that revenue.
Oct 2004: Felix Trinidad $10 Million v Ricardo Mayorga - 470K PPVs sold
May 2005: Felix Trinidad $10 Million v Winky Wright - 510K PPVs sold
Sept 2004: Oscar De La Hoya $30+ Million v Bernard Hopkins - 1M PPVs sold
Mar 2003: Roy Jones Jr $25 Million v John Ruiz - 525K PPVs sold
These fighters made MORE money in 1 night then Liddell did his entire career for fights that drew LESS PPVs generated LESS revenue then Liddell's fights.
