Is there any buzz at all for the Canelo fight?

not really. and down here, for example. his fights are always on combate space. a basic cable chanel. but this one will be on a premium chanel (tnt sports) i think is because there is no more football until late january and they don't wanna lose any subscribers (both chanels are own by the same company) they did the same with the lucas-manny fight.

I forgot about it, I'm hyped for Tevin Farmer tho.

The buzz is low because no one outside of hardcores know what DAZN is and then the opponent is a complete no-namer.

Canelo has his loyal fan base who will watch anything he does, which is why DAZN gave him all that $. But it's not a mainstream interest match-up like Canelo-GGG where it was on SC and talked about by casuals.

Yes, there is. It's just not your typical PPV event. A lot of people here in Dallas has no idea who he is fighting, but they don't care. They are watching regardless.

I remember hearing about how there was no buzz around the Liam Smith fight either but it still ended up selling about 45,000 tickets. I think it's more a case of it having no buzz for Canelo, rather than no buzz at all. No buzz for a Canelo fight is very different to no buzz for a Jacobs fight or something. It'll still sell well and plenty will watch. Just like the Smith fight, it did pretty low PPV numbers for Canelo, but by most peoples standards it wasn't bad at all. That said, i do still think there will be a pretty big contingent from Liverpool that flew over.

I live in an area with a lot of Mexicans and also work with people who ask me about fights and I haven’t heard anyone talk about it or ask about it. I’d forgotten about the fight myself until Tuesday and even though I have DAZN I won’t be watching.
