Name them. And then tell me how that qualifies him to beat Lomachenko. Since Saturday, seems like the people who like Davis, feel as though Tank suddenly has a chance. So name his five best wins and lets see how he stacks up.
I wasnt disappointed. Lomachenko is usually exciting but this fight was very technical. Casual people who talk about lomachenko must be been bored to hell but I could see how technical it was. It was fun watching each fighter learn the other. Lomachenko was in control nearly the whole time but did show some rust.
If we gonna hold it to his standards, pound for pound level standards it was just an okay fight for him.
The narrative was this was just a belt grab, as we all wanted a mikey fight. This was against a fighter a green tank KOed with ease. Of course Loma’s gonna get criticize if he doesn’t blow him out as easy or somewhere close, as that comes with the territory. The greater you are the greater the responsibility of doing great things to back them up.
His fan clubs can’t blame the naysayers as they themselves hyped him up to the gills, those level of fanboyism can biteback even from decent perfomances like that.
If we gonna go by mortal standards, then yes that was a very good performance, albeit not really an exciting fight in my opinion.
I believe Mikey beats him before this fight, there’s a lot more reason to belief after.
Here’s what I’ve been saying
Tank has 3 good wins against 2 former champs
Pedraza - 2 weight champ... Stopped him easy
Cuelar- former champ with good wins... Stopped him easy
Walsh - Euro level champ... Stopped him easy
Not too bad for a 24 year old kid who's been in the game for 5 years
TMT needs to make him more active though
there is another guy on here named chollo vista who constantly bashes ggg's resume. maybe someday you will run into each other. be prepared though because he will laugh at you for trying to hype up liam walsh and small guys coming up in weight who just lost as "good" wins when ggg has zero good wins of his own. everyone has different standards i suppose thats what makes us all unique. you chollo vista are very generous when giving credit when other chollo vista is very strict. 2 completely different people with 2 completely different ways of looking at things. life is beautiful
can we add abner mares just to save time? old guys, unknowns and pedraza who had just lost to edner cherry. his resume is not even as good as machados yet he's ranked above him. you can see the bias pouring out
See you just did what I was talking about. No problem about him being your fav fighter, he’s exciting and extremely good. Overhyping comes with a price though, it creates expectations, one very good performance that fails to reach those expectations, is considered bad already.. like the Pedrazza fight.
So don’t blame those who are riding other fighters to go at him. You fans demanded for it.

When you see special talent it's pretty hard not to overhype it. The difference though is that there arent any names who would pose a legitimate threat to Lomachenko because he had already established himself at the world level.
Maybe Mikey Garcia that's it. But we wont see that fight because Mikey doesnt want it. No way in hell he moves up to 147 just to drain down to 135 and work with Bob as the B side to make the fight.
This is true about any ATG too. When Ali beat liston he was instantly a star. When he lost to Frazier did it hurt his legacy? When he lost to Norton? Many people still consider him an ATG and/or the greatest.
And Lomachenkos resume speaks for itself. SRL needed 25 fights before he even attempted to contend for a world championship and he only has 39 fights! So that's 14 fights at the world level which includes 3 losses.
Lomachenko has fought at the world level for 11 fights. If he had fought 25 tomatoes would and padded his record would that really change your perception?

Tank Davis is a protected, uneducated, immature ghetto kid. He keeps pooing in his pants when somebody mentions Loma and will probably call Loma out once he announces his retirement. Until then he will fight undersized fighters from lower weightclasses coming from a loss.
You guys hyped lomachenko to the gills like he’s the second coming of Ali and SRR as early as 10 fights then get hurt because the world believed your exact words and expected an easy KO victory from him against a fighter that got KOed by a fighter you guys also said he’d beat handily.
If you don’t want your fav fighter to get criticized stop overhyping him up then.
You guys brought this BS to yourselves. Even Loma needed to defend himself like “oh he didn’t train for tank” lol
Settle for “styles make fights” you guys making it worse.

sounds like haymon had way to many guys signed. Tank did get punished tho
Well yeah, I mean when he went on that rampage signing spree he had WAY more dates. That went to the way side the last few years until now.
I don't know what to tell you anymore. If you think he got punished because of Floyd and that Haymon will mess with his business like that then cool.

Not the greatest list (similar in level to Lomachenko's) Didn't include Pedraza as he's rubbish.i
For the record Davis beats Loma by KO early.not similar to Loma. The big homie Loma has unbeaten cats like Gary Russells jr, Rigo, and then Axeman Walters. He took all dem boys 0’s and dey souls. Dat don’t include Linares Pedraza Sosa etc. The big homie Loma gots one of da best resumes in boxing Pham
It's about the dates given to Mayweather Promotions. How do you keep everyone active with only 12 SHO dates?
A lot of these guys who only fight once a year aren't getting "punished" per se, just can't satisfy everyone with so few dates. That's why getting these additional FOX dates plus PPV and increasing the FS1 budget will help greatly.sounds like haymon had way to many guys signed. Tank did get punished tho
obviously the dates are through Haymon. But jack isn’t a priority for Haymon. Why would he be?

1)noone 2)noone 3)noone 4)noone 5)noone
So Tanks resume reads just like gggs was when you were making post after post about how ggg was an ATG, HOFer and would beat Hagler, Monzon, and Robinson

Except Haymon is the one that will still dictate which card Jack is on. Jack isn't just going to be able to fight a non-Haymon fighter. His next fight is against Marcus Browne....Who happens to be with? Haymon. While Jack is't officially signed with Haymon, the dates Mayweather Promotions is able to get is through Haymon.obviously the dates are through Haymon. But jack isn’t a priority for Haymon. Why would he be?
Yes the draw was terrible. Walters wasn't given the fight immediately as he should've been when both were 126. He got a crappy offer. You can't forget that. Then when he finally got a decent offer it was much later and back down at 126.
I think its clear Bob did that to protect Loma who has more upside, sort of like how he mad Cotto fight Manny at 145.
As long as you are consistent in pointing this out same as you did Pedrazza I have no issue.what are u talking about? The was at 130 and the fight took place at 130. Smh.
I'm shocked davis is even mentioning loma for awhile there davis wouldnt even say his name and would get uncomfortable if anybody brought him up. davis is already mentally defeated when it comes to fighting loma. he knows he can't hang.
He'll say some bull*****, but he ain't gonna fight him. Hell no.
