It's an induced coma. They do that to give the person the best chance to recover. Don't worry. A coma is a coma. If it had not been induced it would have burst and he would be in a worse coma. They shut his brain off to reduce the swelling around the brain. His brain got fucced and will never be the same again, induced or not. Still in a coma as of right now = few years of cognitive rehab as a minimum

They do that to give the person the best chance to recover. it's still going to leave stevenson with irreparable damage. he'll be lucky to walk and talk normally. they do it as an emergency measure to reduce swelling on the brain, it's a life saving measure and it was done to stabilize his blood pressure, heart rate etc. this will leave him with long term damage.
