Recent comments by Wilder during an interview:
Wilder: "12 weeks before the camp I broke my hand. I don’t make excuses. People don’t know these things. I broke my right hand 12 weeks before the camp. Even in camp I barely ever threw my right hand; you can ask all my sparring partners. That could have been another reason why I was so off as well too. I had all these sparring partners and most of the whole camp was nothing but jabs.”
Wilder: “I don’t make excuses. It was a great fight. You got the best of Tyson Fury and you only got the half-best of me. And I still did what I had to do. Imagine me with my full potential. That was all my fault; I blame myself.”
Wilder: “Nothing he did affected me. The punches didn’t affect me. I was fighting myself and him.”
I am 100% sure when he gets to fight AJ and gets put into a coma, he is going to tell us he had his neck broken and was paralyzed 10 days b4 the fight.
styles make fights and wilder owuld be incredibly dangerous for joshau. that's why that fight has not been made yet, eddie hearn could have made it in two countries if he cared to.
Wilder against Ortiz: I came into the fight light because I was sick and couldnt hold anything down. (Weighed 214) Got embarassed badly until the KO
Wilder not sick against Fury: weighed 212. Got embarassed badly. Prematurely celebrated.
Sounds like excuses to me. Was he sick this time too? Did he break every part in his body? Time to retire if your body cant hold up so you dont have to make excuses
These "excuses" are unnecessary. No need for them. It was a very good ending with a dramatic 12th round. Fight fans came away satisfied (Minus Ice Cube), and you are in store to make a fortune in the rematch. If you didn't mention the injury beforehand, no need to do it now. And if he broke his hand or arm 12 weeks before camp, that means around June time? Like I said, none of this is necessary. To prove you are the better man you will have to do it in the rematch. No matter what you say now won't effect how people look at the first fight.
and he broke his eyes, because fury had him missing almost everything

Not once did we see his hand in a cast. If you break your hand it’s in a cast for a good eight weeks. Then it takes considerable time to heel and get back to normal before you can even think about training again. Lying excuse maker, but who expected any less?

so you jabbed the entire camp and still got out jabbed and only landed 16 percent of your jabs?
he also broke his lungs because Fury had him breathing like an Elephant with asthma
and he broke his eyes, because fury had him missing almost everything
Why would he tell people about an injury BEFORE the fight?
That would kill ticket/ PPV sales because fans would doubt he had a chance.
pffffffffffffffft He lost and is now making all kind of excuses.
We all saw him at different times in those 3 months, so f that, lies.
How can him and his team say with a straight face that that was the best Fury in there?
If they thought Fury was at his best in this fight, they’re going to be in for a rude awakening after they see what he looks like after the next training camp.
i'm sure his hand was hurt going into the fight, but boxers throw out the word broken way too much. i've broken / chipped knuckles on both hands. i wou;dnt be at a press conference holding a microphone or a bottle of water. you can't even squeeze with your other fingers.
wilder does ahve a leg to stand on in that he's got a history of hand problems, and several plates and screws in one of his hands. but the idea that his hand was "broken" going into the fight is ridiculous. his hands are enormous, the swelling would be something you cannot miss. produce an x ray or some verifying medical data.
Dude, even if it was legit, the fight was announced on the week of the 22nd of September. That was about 10 weeks ago. If you had an injury before or around the time the fight is agreed you push it back or postpone. Your not even in training camp yet, or at worst your in your first week or so.
This is absolute BS
I don’t get it tbh.
He could just be playing on the fact he nearly wiped Fury out with 1 shot. Like that one irritating poster on here does, lol. Absolutely nothing’s changed.
Nobody thought he was going to be able to box with Fury anyway.
Imagine a Wilder and Fury sparring session with the big gloves. Fury would beat him like a ginger step son for literal hours, days, weeks, months, years.
I don’t even see Wilder as having lost face here.
He’s an extremely dangerous fighter. With the operative word being ‘fighter’ at this level
Why would he tell people about an injury BEFORE the fight?
That would kill ticket/ PPV sales because fans would doubt he had a chance.
