Fury isn’t great had been out three years and destroyed his body yet absolutely dominated the fight and made Wilder, a guy who’s supposed to have technique like Joe Louis, look like a bum.
I think Wilder is a bum and he’s protected. He got his ass kicked by a nobody.
He's a bum with crazy power (which may or may not make him not a bum, it depends on your perspective).
He's an awful boxer and 100% got exposed tonight by a much, much superior boxer. Every second that Fury didn't spend falling down or on the canvas he won. Even in rounds when he got put down he got up and whooped Wilder. I thought he might even KO him in the 12th he came back and hit him with some serious shít.
Wilder is only in the conversation for top heavyweights because he has crazy power. Any good boxer can deal with him. Unfortunately we're in a very weak era of heavyweights. He'd never have made it so far in other eras.
I don't want to take anything away from him, he can punch, and if you can KO and KD people consistently enough to win titles you deserve it. But from a purely boxing standpoint he's a bum with a punch. Fury saw all those shots he was loading up on coming a mile away.
worse than Herbie Hide or Charles Martin???? Worse than Bruce Seldon? Seldon had a very good jab and good technique but he should have been better than he was. He was a guy that I actually though would beat Tyson. No, he's not the worse to ever win a title. No way hahaha
He’s an awful fighter the worst I’ve seen.
Who has ever said Wilder fought / had technique like Joe Louis
:lol1::lol1::lol1:
Are you ****ing mad ?.
Wilder fans said he had better technie and combos than Arguello, Napoles, Marquez etc;
He’s a bum. I think he’s the worst fighter to ever win a title. An awful fighter. Embarrassed how bad he is.

I've always posted that a Heavyweight with Boxing skills of a guy like Mike Tyson pre 1990 with slipping and good body work would KO Wilder that Cruiserweight thats coming up will beat him. If you're a lazy Heavyweight who stands up right with no head movement or no Body work than you are taylor made for Wilder
I need to watch the fight but I did expect a wilder win, an early/east one at that. It makes me look deeper at wilder and consider if he really is just overrated
Given Ortiz was unproven (never fought anyone else decent) was the close fight - too close?
How long did he take to finish Molina? Molina even wobbled him? Compare that to Joshua who dismantled him?
He had fury down twice , the second brutally with two mins to go but couldn’t get it finished?
Now, let me repeat that I haven’t watched the fight so I will reserve judgement fully until I have but was a disappointing result from that view.
However look at it another way and a draw was an absolute perfect result for both the sport in general and wilders popularity! How better than to have a rematch and to be able to truly claim it’s a 50/50 fight. I really hope given only 17,000 turned up they consider a fight at wembley though as the atmosphere for 90k would be epic!
The upset was almost complete. This is where his 3 years of hiatus didn't help, there is a loss of 10% concentration/focus that is needed for the whole 12 rounds in which a sharped great combatant usually can maintain when they regularly fight.
The Tyson Fury who fought Klitchko would be of course no-brainer better version of this and would have been untouchable with this version of Wilder who is clearly outclassed in this fight anyway, his power ultimately saved him though. But in my opinion, the fight is still 12 rounds and Fury got the super majority of it. But this is the usual problem with fighting in your opponents backyard there is this usually one paid judge or a judge who is playing dumb that will score to a-side. Look, before the fight, I thought Wilder will win by a knockout because of tyson's years of sniffing cokes, drinking alcohol and weight ballooning up to 400 lbs, but I was wrong, it is clear that Tyson Fury is by far the better man in this fight, the skill gap is enormous. Remove the knockdowns and people will be saying Fury totally schooled Wilder.
NO! I would say he is just a One Dimensional Power Puncher though, he is a athlete that can Punch, will never be Skilled or Technically Sound. Just posted in a thread earlier that it is a weak ERA who people are excited over mostly because they was tired of the Klitschko ERA
The worst thing is, Fury was dominating the fight and was pressing Wilder when he got dropped the second time.... he was wining both rounds easy and was clearly the better boxer.
Damn shame,,,
He's a bum skills wise, but has all time elite power.
Fury is a fantastic defensive fighter, and Wilder just clipped him twice. The 2nd time I don't think any other fighter in the world could have gotten up from.
Fury was totally dominant... Wilder was lucky and managed to turn 2 clear Fury rounds into 10-8's..... but all the fans know Wilder is a beaten champ.
Let's get the rematch.
