Because of my work schedule, it's easy for me to miss boxing that takes place during the week, and that was certainly the case with Horn/Mundine.
I watched the clip of the knockout, and there can be no doubt that Mundine looked like he took a dive, and then faked being fu%cked up on the ground.
I have watched the clip over and over again, he took two punches, the first one barely touched him, and he went to fall, but must have realized it would not look good, steadied himself, stood in harms way, and took a more solid shot, but not one that would totally flatten him.
His reaction on the ground was sickening.
I also find it insane that nobody seems to care, these two guys just may have committed an incredible fraud on the game, and the fans, and it's being treated as business as usual.
I find this to be an utter disgrace to the sport of boxing, it's absolutely awful.
Australian boxing in general is a joke. Every year there's some dive or hometown officiating. Look at when Billy Dib KO'd that fella who slipped and was on all fours. They legit tried their best to make that a KO win for Dib, but it was eventually changed to a no contest. They were trying to pull some Sven Ottke chit with Dib.
Punch looked like it barely clipped him but his reaction looked real. Your boy Deezy had to knockout a few old motha****as before and **** looked just like that.
It wasn't a dive he just has a glass jaw and got clipped pulling back with his chin in the air.
If that's a dive then he should get work in Hollywood.
Nobody see him get knocked out cold by Ottke or Garth Wood? Those didn't look huge shots either. Seriously he's just really chinny.
The left hand definitely lands, part land/gloves and he went down like RJJ did when Tarver clipped him. Mundine is shot to pieces and at 43 we know shouldn’t really be in there.
OP you have literally nothing better to do.
Just sheer laziness to suggest a dive.
People are still so cut up you were proven wrong that everyone's out to discredit Horn. It doesn't matter what he does in his career people will spout hate towards him. Get over yourself man. The sport is bigger than you and your bias. At the end of the day Horn is a stand up guy and as genuine as any. If people hate him so much stfu and don't watch.
His neck and back of the head clapped back/shook hard when he got hit...then his eyes rolled back on the canvas. It was not a dive man, the shot just landed harder than visible
Australian boxing is the most corrupt I've ever seen.
It's possible that was a legit knockout but it's also possible it was a dive
Sorry, it's more corrupt in Las Vegas.
The people who think it was a dive need to watch the video footage a little closer. Mundine's head bounced off the canvas. He must have dedicated himself fully to taking that dive, even at the risk of giving himself a concussion by allowing his head to bounce off the canvas.....The conspiracy idiots are apparently too lazy to watch the KO replay and use common sense.
Mundine isn't a person to take a dive. He is all pride, to a fault.
Mundine is 43 and was completely drained at the catchweight. The result is not surprising.
Yeah, man. I went through a little conspiracy theory phase myself. But like you say, no one would be able to keep that secret. Dives have happened in the past but on TV with the camera angles and all, it's next to impossible to fake. Just don't buy it anymore. In most cases, it's just bitter losers complaining which I have been, but I don't plan on being one any more. No fun. Haha. Mundine got his ass beat. It just happens. He's 43 for God's sake.
no one ever came out and said it was a dive so i guess it wasn't?

australian sport in general is corrupt filled with dodgy individuals like there cricket team who are pond scum

The Danny Green vs Paul Briggs fight is the one I think everyone can agree was a dive for betting purposes. I thought at first Mundine might have tanked but I watched it at 1/4 SPEED and it looks like the punch landed on the face after further review. But nothing would surprise me...
australian boxing is not real. they fined him 75k for taking a dive! too bad his purse was 200k on top of all the bets im sure he made. this sounds like american capitalism. company will steal billions with illegal behavior then the government will fine them a couple million don't do it again!!!
Thanks good one.
So many ways to fix a fight with either one or both fighters, the ref or one or more judges. Boxing worldwide does the hometown scoring thing or allows the homeboy to break all the rules.
A recent fight in May 2017 was one of the most obviously fixed fights. The loser-to-be only threw a hard punch to his opponent after the latter held his gloves to both sides of his face. Many other things in that fight...
Nothing changes. See Jake LaMotta's testimony to the US Senate. Different set of characters today.
Of course, boxing is a microcosm of things in general...

Don't know why you people still believe in conspiracy theories in this day and age.
How many times have you broken a promise not to tell anybody?
Are you sure your wife won't tell anybody the same thing if you told her your friend's secret?
How many people are involved in fixing a fight?
Assuming a minimum of ten.
Do you really believe not a single one would sing?

Yet another Horn hater.
Have you not ever seen a fighter being knocked out by getting clipped?
Show some of Deontays K/Os and you will see the same thing.
