he will become more known in due time, hardcore boxing fans know about him. Maybe if he was a KO artist hed be known more... but hes unified his division.. something most fighters these days run from while their fans make excuses for it...
The only reason he is fighting at Cruiserweight is because Bellew wanted it at Cruiserweight. He signed copromotion with Eddie because the the UK Heavyweight market and a route to Joshua. Come Sunday morning, every UK boxing fan and 1m casuals prepared to ppv will know exactly who he is.
Sorry but Americans dont give a fuk. What exactly makes him a must see tv?

Dead Division
Nothing to see here. Not sure why anybody even gives a fùck about CW. It's always been a dead and transient division.
fairer based on what? fairer as in 5x Deontay's best ever payday? AJ has built his fanbase quickly by taking the challenges in an attempt to unify the division. How many other champions has Wilder faced since he won the WBC belt? (or ever?) are we now calling Luis Ortiz a champion even though he had no belts? :D come on, AJ isn't just the A-side, he's the only established star in the HW division.
AJ also isn't losing out as much as Wilder is by not making the fight, he's going to make 15-20 mil + each time he competes regardless. It's like asking McDonalds to split everything 50/50 with some local fast food restaurant just because they're both selling burgers on the same block ... it's not going to happen unless the lesser concedes to the greater who the star is, and in this case Wilder is too proud to do it
Why are you Brits so afraid of this fight happening?
He'll probably get a fairer deal ...
:bottle:

Right, how the hell is he going to lump us all into one here? Lol, like there is nothing to dislike about Usyk. A true fighting champion that will go anywhere for a fight. Nothing but respect for him.
It’s plain as day why some people don’t like Usyk and why this topic exists:
Wilderlites hate Hearn so much they’ll tear down anything remotely related to him, which Usyk now is considering he’s on DAZN an Hearn is generally the mouthpiece of DAZN. It’s pathetic but can guarantee for many that have posted in this thread it’s 100% true!
Not his fault. I'd wager the average American or Brit doesn't know what fights are happening outside the HW division let alone who's fighting who in the CW.

Dude's in a division with no American interest in it... the hardcore fans know who he is and appreciate at least what he's achieved, even if his style ain't to all tastes. The casuals, who are usually driven by partisan interest? Why would they give a fuck, unless they happen to be Ukrainian Americans?
I hesitate to say this because it's a massive generalisation and some of the biggest hardcore fans on here are from the US / Mex, dudes that watch global boxing 24/7, but there seems to be a substantial belief among a segment of American fans that if something ain't happening in America or on American TV it might as well not be happening at all.
Usyk is a good, stylish boxer. Lots of skills, a lot of heart, smart, and tough. He will get his due in the US, and do well. All he has to do is keep winning. He would do better away from Hearn & company though.
Theyd give a **** if he fought Ward. Hearn should be thinking about throwing a ton of cash at Ward to get him out of retirement, few interviews suggest he can be persuaded
Ward won’t be persuaded to take a fight he can’t win though lol
Most people dont give a shi. about american degenerates, most people dont give a shi. about american fighters, GGG is way more popular than any other US fighter in the US.
Has any of his fights even been shown in the U.S.? The WBSS wasn't on U.S. t.v.
If they show Usyk's fights and his interviews and give him the exposure he deserves he can become very well-known and very rich in the U.S. Its impossible not to like the guy. You see an interview with him, and immediately hope he is good. Then you see him fight and realize he is #1 p4p.
He's Eastern European and a cruiserweight though. Being a cruiserweight is the main reason for his anonymity, many have never even heard of it. Heck, I started watching boxing pretty regularly in the late 90's and I didn't know there was such a thing as a cruiserweight division for at least five years. Probably longer than that.
If his fights start being broadcast in the U.S. and he moves up to heavyweight, Usyk will attract at least a decent fan following. And will be recognized for what he is: #1 p4p in the world.
