Rest assured that Spence will fight Pacquiao before his PBC contract is up by hook or by crook. Al Haymon will make sure that, the opportunity for the torch to be passed is not missed, he won't make the same mistake as Arum did when pacquao asked for 20 million to fight Crawford, Arum would have gained more than that if Crawford had pacquiao's head by now, that was a tremendous mistake by bob to lose some money in order to gain more in the future, a calculated risk. Al will make sure this will never happen, he will pay whatever is needed for Spence to fight Pac and if he wins, he would gain tremendous negotiation advantage against anyone in the future and yes that includes against Crawford.
There is only one caveat, in order for the torch to be rightfully passed, the challenger must leave any doubt and win in a dominating fashion, a Jeff horn win is not gonna work, it should be the same manner as de la hoya beating Chavez sr. to a pulp or pacquiao beating de la hoya from pillar to post etc.. it should be in a similar manner or the mystique won't be there. Which Spence and Crawford is more than capable at this moment. The timing is right and perfect, pacquiao is ripe for the picking. Thank boxing God for pacquiao still giving these young guns one more chance to beat him before he fades into the sunset.

Oh please NO. Broner then Khan or Horn. Retire before it gets ugly, pac’s style ain’t design for longevity and it’s really quite a huge surprise how well he’s done after being past it for about more than half a decade now.
Dude took a lot of contact in his prime, let alone his early fighting days.
Floyd didn’t pass the torch. Hopefully Manny won’t have to as well. I really don’t like those kind of fights though they seem to be needed.
Spence would eat Manny up, a beat down and stoppage.
Manny will be given Broner and maybe one more and Floyd will asses the rematch fight if he likes it that will go .
Floyd is behind who Manny fights not Haymon !
How much money would Haymon have to pay Pacquiao to take this fight? It makes all sense in the world for him to feed him to Spence soon to build his star. This is how boxing works when passing the torch.
Either way, after Garcia, Spence needs to fight either Pacquiao or Porter in the summer. Then go after Crawford or Thurman end of the year. 2019 has to be the year he makes a real leap into stardom.
It would take a lot, Manny surely won't go down easily either in the ring or business wise, but the risk is well worth it. If Spence can do his job properly--perform utter destruction--which to me is the more likely ending scenario when they meet--there is little to no doubt PBC will breakthrough and Spence will command an otherworldly respect he deserves, every fight from here on wards is pure gold in his and Al's pocket.

Al Haymon is a genius, he will do something like Pac-May 2 after the AB PPV then get Pacman a winable fight like Kell Brook, Swift Garcia, Shawn Porter to pad up his record / bring back his confidence or always injured Thurman then finally retire him vs a real killer aka the next star in boxing Errol Spence
Sometimes you burn a fighter to make more money with your other fighters. Manny will make PBC some cash first, but he’ll get fed to the next big thing when it’s time and then he’ll be a gatekeeper.
Won’t happen. You must think PAC is stupid. He didn’t sign with Haymon to be a gatekeeper.
Not out of the question. But superstars and former superstars rarely think of themselves as a gatekeeper ever. It's only several years after when they realized after watching themselves on a video how slow they've become, how dulled their reflex have become and their reactions to punches is entirely different on what they felt on that moment. Delusions are not rare on these ATGs, they always believed they can turn back time just one more time.
What if pac comes into the ring and shows his age and gets Stopped by AB....AB vs any of the other WW champs will make $$$
Possible but sure is unexpected. AB is seen as an appetizer for the bigger things to come for Manny as a PBC fighter. The culmination of things is when Spence get in there with Manny. Floyd cleverly knows this and Spence will be his final shield before Manny get to him, and certainly time is not on Manny's favor whether he rushed to the matter or not. Floyd surely promised Manny a fight but only if he can finish eight labors of Hercules at his age.
With two or three fights left and one of them being a lucrative Floyd rematch for $100M, I doubt he is going to take fights he doesn’t need. I can see him fighting Mikey or even Thurman for the super WBA belt, but I don’t see Spence in his future.
Well yeah that's the great unknown, was he guaranteed a floyd rematch after this Broner fight.
If not, I think he may take broner, then maybe Thurman for the WBA and if somehow he's still standing then Spence if the price is right. All a dream most likely
He was gonna fight Crawford for 20 million why wouldn't he fight Spence for the same?

Now that Pac is a PBC property, PBC can make Pac fight Thurman, Spence, Floyd. and Pac will retire a wealthy but beaten man, to show what Pac was vs TR stable and what he is vs the PBC stable.
boxing can be cruel, he will be tested...more ways than one:sad6:
