If this fight had continued, Burnett probably would not have made it out as a same fighter. Nonito was gonna ruin the kid so the injury was a blessing in disguise.
Burnett gets to live to fight another day.
I feel the same way.
Been a long time since I saw Nonito land shots that clean and that heavy so early in a fight.
As good as Burnett was boxing, it did not bode well.
This is definitely a silver lining situation.
Nonito can do himself a huge favor by staying near the gym, staying near this weight and working on remaining used to this body. He will only get better and his power looks pretty good here. He certainly was getting Burnett's attention.

Nonito is past his prime obviously but he is not shot. There is a difference.
His reflex has slowed down but he still got good enough speed and power is still there.
Nonito took some shots but he got his hits in as well and it was still early in the fight.
When you lose to the likes of "Jessie Magdaleno" it's obvious you have no business in boxing, not at the top level at least. Donaire can continue his career as a journeyman if he wants, and lose more brain cells in the process, but I'd recommend him to retire, for the sake of health and legacy
Nonito only won due to a freak injury
Donaire is finished, done, kaput. He's Pacquiao level washed up at this point, maybe worse
he should retire, or try to avenge his loss to Rigo, so Rigo can finally get a fight again

He didn't look washed up to me. He was losing but still landing some good shots. He wasn't getting dominated or anything.
Thank you Nonito for helping me come up!!
You foos dont know sht about boxing lol

The suspense is killing me. I really believe Donaire can beat Burnett. Perhaps i havent seen enough of Burnett but i dont see anything special about him.
If Nonito loses he should consider retirement. He's been brought in 3 times now as the opponent for big profile fights against Frampton, Magdaleno, and Walters. If he loses and continues to fight he'll be the gate keeper for young and upcoming prospects and contenders.
who's more inactive.. nonito or AB?? seems like both of these dudes got gun shy after taking their L's..
Donaires fought twice in the last 13 months he ain't that bad lol .
He's faded though... Big time and the drop back from frampton to this weight gives Burnett a prime opportunity to beat him.
If Ryan doesn't beat this version of nonito..then he's got no chance against the elite
