Why not eliminate the 168 and 154 divisions

I think its a bad idea. The jump from 160 to 175 is huge. I don't think there have been any middleweights since Roy Jones and Bernard Hopkins who have been able to do it and win titles. Agreed. But we would have seen guys like Froch staying at MW his whole career. That is a treat to see. Guys like Ward would have been 175 originally and might have had a great trilogy with Kovalev. And a SHYT LOAD of talent would be packed into 147.

154 has a good history now . True, it's like a pitstop for great fighters.

I can see by some of the replies that most people dont know **** about boxing. In the beginning there were 6 divisons and that is why those divisons are still the glamor divisons. 126 135 147 160 175 heavyweight 160 would be loaded right now if 154 didnt exist. 175 would be loade right now if 168 didnt exist. 135 would be loaded if 140 and 130 didnt exist. there is nowhere to hide with 6 divisons. broner would have to fight welterweights or stay disciplined to make 135. mikey wouldnt be jumping weights, lomachencko wouldnt be jumping weights. canelo wouldnt be jumping weights. tank would have to fight at 135. this forces the best vs the best. but hey everybody gets a belt right?

ABC organizations take a fee every time a belt holder fights. If there are less weight divisions, less belt holders, they make less money. They wont get rid of any divisions. They're both necessary weight classes based on the size differences between the people in them in comparison to those just above or below a weight class.

I'd be in favour of this. Would cut down on the weight bullying as well. Will never happen though.
