Why has this forum turned against Terence Bud Crawford?

nobody is turning on him.. the 20 or so floyd fans on here that jumped on him, kinda fell back on hyping him up after the performance from last night.He's never been on the same level as Wilder, May or GGG. He was never as polarizing as those guys. People either liked him and those that didn't seemed somewhat neutral or kind of indifferent toward him but now he is reaching the levels of hate the likes of which we have never seen of him before. Ever since he became the undisputed Super lightweight champion of the world and moved up to welterweight, I started noticing the trend of detractors.

Crawford has been a undisputed champion in a division and has a belt at ww and just defended it to a huge audience on espn. None of which changes the fact that Spence and Crawford both fought twice this year. And plans are for,him,to fight three times '19. Arum says that every year, but so far with the ESPN deal, Crawford fought twice last year and fought twice this year. More likely he fights twice next year than it is that he fights three times. Most top stars don't want to spend 30 weeks in training camp in one year. Spence has no past fights to speak on and fights on showtime,in,front of 400k viewers and is on twitter complaining because his guys wont give him fights Spence had over six million viewers on network TV. He'll soon have the opportunity to fight on both Fox and Showtime, just as Crawford fights on ESPN and ESPN+. However, Fox has far more viewers than ESPN and Showtime has far more viewers than ESPN+.

i'm not against him, i just find it ridiculous to say a guy is one of the top 3 p4p when his best win is Postol. i think people get tired of others saying how great he is. Let's see it against some good fighters instead of just collecting belts.

It happens with every boxer that gets to the top. Its not a big deal, we have seen boxers who have done more lately in their careers given the same treatment on here. No need to get sentitive about it.

think people are fed up of him fighting weak opponents, hes 31 now. we all thought he was moving up to welterweight to test himself, instead his opposition has got worse and by all accounts it sounds as if its going to continue that way This is part of it. And this is normal and happens a lot. Crawford comes up and he's a dynamite fighter, really fun to watch and very skilled. Then he gets to a certain level and he starts to get looked at with a sharper eye. He hasn't fought many B level fighters and maybe no A level ones. He's got to step up now. Make that big fight. The other half of it is that other fighters' fans start to feel threatened so they want to tear him down. Happens a lot. When a fighter go undefeated they will get to a certain point where their opponents will be scrutinized. Happened with GGG, happening with Crawford now. The fact is, if you want to be great, start fighting other great fighters well before you're in your 30s, there really aren't any valid excuses.

Competition that wasn't good enough either... But Crawford is surrounded by good fighters in his division and he signed for a guy who feeds him bums instead We can't act as if guys like Thurman, Danny, or Porter want anything to do with Crawford or Spence. Danny's gone on record saying Crawford and Spence should fight before they fight him. Is he serious?? We don't even know what's going on with Thurman and Porter would rather play pool, hang out with these guys instead of fight them. This is why I think they should just bypass those guys and get the ball rolling on Crawford vs Spence. That's the fight everyone's calling for anyway.

Because he's not fighting the guy they want him to fight Except he does fight the guys they want him to fight, and they decide that's not good enough every time, or act like they never accused him of ducking. It won't be any different with Spence, Thurman, or anyone else.

I can't remember this forum ever liking Terrence Crawford. Maybe they did back before he won his first lightweight title, but if so it was just the few people who knew who he was. Ever since he's been a champion, NSB has hated on him at all costs. He was going to duck Beltran, he was going to duck Postol, Gamboa was beating him easily, hell people even said he would duck Indongo and Horn. They say he's scared to leave his hometown when he made his name and won his first title on the road. They act like Horn was fighting evenly with him. And none of those people who said this stupid **** ever admit they're wrong when it doesn't go down like they said. He's just one of those guys that NSB has decided they hate.

I wasn't hugely impressed with Crawford till the end of his time at lw and the at lww. The guy beat the best available opposition and looked increasingly a level above. Imo he is a top 3 pfp fighter which only makes his last opponent look worse. He should be fighting porter, garcia, spence, thurman but all those don't fight enough so again, I can't be too harsh on Crawford.

It's not my fault that you're an emotional woman. I was asked why the forum turned on Crawford and I gave the accurate answer. I'm not saying he shouldn't have signed an extension with Top Rank. If I was Crawford, I would have signed the extension. I'm just explaining why fans turned on himAll you did was give your own narrow minded opinion. What do you mean "instead" of signing with PBC"??? He didn't have to sign with anyone except who he wanted to sign to. And he chose to sign with the guy that had nobody interesting for him to fight instead of signing with the guy that had a dozen interesting people for him to fight.
