Lol Roman was cleaning up no competition (sounds like ggg and kov?) . The second he moved up to a busier weight class and had real competition, he got smoked. I would have loved to see him and rigo fight but rigo moved up for Loma and got smoked. Roman was all time hype. Never seen such a hype job when they were saying he can punch so many combinations while being defensively responsible. Guess not... Ranked 20 best fighter of the last 25 years! Guess not At what weight ?

Casual boxing fans write fighters off after losses even if they are debatable “losses”. OP is a typical casual that had never heard of Chocolatito until HBO showcases him and decided to dislike him because people like him. He didn't get handled as you say.

Being honest, doesn't it seem like ggg is going in the Roman and kov direction where he will get stopped flat out. He's 1 more lose away from being a complete let down. Right now fringe top 15 p4p. So still a top 25 atg as Dan Rafael would have you believe? Kovalev, Roman, and Golovkin are all legit, none of them are hype jobs. Red K. And Dan doesn't influence what I think at all, I trust my own boxing knowledge, what some pundit says means little to me.

hype jobs that boxed their way to the pound for pound list :rofl: gonzalez was on the pound for pound list before most of you knew who he was, the guy is a hall of famer! you all said he was "exposed," when in reality is was his fourth weight class and after more than a dozen world title fights. guys age, especially the little ones! kovalev was a very good fighter, not a great one. had solid wins and very good power. he was every bit the pound for pound boxer the pundits said he was. golovkin was also a very good fighter. he had a long run as the best MW on the planet, and was the moist avoided fighter in boxing for several years. got as high as #1 p4p on some major lists, though i think he was never that good.

Ggg was suppose to be all time great. Knockout artist who punches like a heavyweight and boxing IQ so high he is the perfect boxer puncher brawler type. Self confessed master of Mexican style. That was the hype on him. If it was just ggg going to be a very good champion, he wasn't hype. But no where near what people and media tried to push him to be.

Why can't he still be considered an all time great? Sugar Ray Robinson had losses on his record long before he was 36 and so did Hagler and both lost to welterweights moving up. Nobody has ever even hurt him much or knocked him down so how the hell is he close to being stopped????????
