Aha! That's it.
Eddie Hearn wants to tie up a deal now, rapidly. Seems he wants Wilder and his people to agree to a lower cut now. Doesn't make sense because Wilder will be deserving of close to 50/50 if he becomes the Lineal/WBC champion in December. Whereas Eddie wants to get a 65/35 type deal done now. Anyone who can't see through Hearn's desperation now must be a nuthugger.
He's just trying to open negotiations. If Finkel was asking Eddie for a meeting and he turned it down there would be no surprises for guessing what you're reaction would be.
GTFO with the fanboy shyt. I'm not a fan of either guy and I wouldn't defend Finkel for no reason.
Go circle jerk with your buddies in one of the anti Wilder threads is that's what you're here for.
You faceplanted in this thread.
I've given you enough replies. You get in the last word if you need but I'm not wasting any more time educating you.
Don't try to pretend that worse case scenarios are the norm. It's already garnering a ton of attention and selling tickets. It's on fire so far. If Eddie could strike a better deal later, why is he so desperate to weak this up now?
Don't let your affection for the man warp your common sense.

You're making a big assumption that the fight will be a PPV success and the fight will be entertaining. When you're on PPV you need to do a lot more than win. Canelo's stock rose because he was in a great fight. I'm sure Eddie would be willing to do a deal where the % split was dependent on the number of buys Fury-Wilder does.

"Fair"? What are you basing that on? That's a purely subjective term.
There is going to be FAR more momentum behind Wilder after a Fury win. Wins change everything. Look at how little respect Canelo got a month ago. He wins a controversial decision and now suddenly he's got more heat than ever. So you think Canelo had more value a 6 months ago or now?... See what I mean?
For Wilder to do any negotiating now is pure foolishness. AJ just had a win so the momentum is with him and of course Hearn is scrambling to make Deal now as the weight will be shifting toward Wilder the closer we get to the fight, and it will be HUGE should be win.
It's akin to the buy low/sell high principle.
Come on. This isn't that hard to figure out.

We'll see what the PPV numbers are. Espinoza said he would be happy with 400,000 so if that's the case, it's a more than fair offer. Wilder would make double what he's earning against Fury.

No doubt. I've been saying this since the first day the offer rolled in, yet these Hearn slaves on the forum keep chanting "duck".
Someone would have to be an absolute fking idiot to think Wilder should sign now, when this fight is already getting a huge promotional build up and a mill in tickets sold in the first half hour.
This isn't even about whether someone likes Wilder or not, it's about having 2 cents worth of brains and a willingness to be honest and not a damn cheerleader.
