I think abel's comments came back to haunt ggg
He was painting canelo as a runner and when canelo did not move, it means he is doing better than expected and judges and people alike always give more credit on scoring when a fighter does better than expected
Absolutely not. I think the judges gave Canelo the benefit of the doubt more than they did for Golovkin. It was a close fight but I thought GGG won it. But you have to give Canelo a lot of credit for both fights with Golovkin...I mean, he showed he's a damn good fighter and tough as nails.
But that's the thing though. Fighters get the benefit of the doubt because they did better than people thought. Canelo did not have to prove anything. He is a Special Talent and has been handled VERY well.
But to get a decision because you did better than people thought you would do is not right.
I had GGG winning. But I can see the argument for Canelo if you give him EVERY Close round. I can see the draw as well. But just because Canelo went 12 twice does not mean he did enough to win. 1 Scorecard for GGG out of 6 when Canelo was out landed punch count wise in 18 out of 24 Rounds is what is wrong with the sport.
This is getting petty man.
I'll just end it with this and logoff. All I said is that it's not hard to score a fight. If you know which punches landed and which punches didn't then the winner becomes less of an opinion and more of who's keeping better score.
But then punch stats do not tie up with your scores. Because using technology we can gauge pretty fairly which punches landed and how many per fighter per round....
Anyways have a good one man.
I know what I saw, and anyone that disagrees with me can't score a fight.
I've grown up my whole life surrounded by morons so I'm used to being the only guy that's right in the room sometimes.
7-5 To canelo. No other way to score it. The 5th round was the only one that might even be questionable and even then the best I can give Golovkin is a draw.
I'm not blind, I've been a student of the game since I was 6 years old, and Canelo won that fight.
BWAHHAHAHAHAHA fantastic, only on NSB
thank you
Is that enough reason to give him the close rounds though?

You automatically assume a ring judge makes more money than me lol
Never brought up money or assumed anything. Just saying oh wise all knowing boxing historian since he was 6 years old. That you are here on a boxing forum shouting from the roof tops that if people do not agree with you then they do not know what they are talking about. Instead of actually judging fights.
I just rewatched the 12th round. I scored it for Golovkin.
BUT, Canelo fought a really inspired, gutsy fight.
Is that enough reason to give him the close rounds though?
You're putting scoring on a pedestal.
If you're not blind or dumb, it's not hard.
Apparently however most people are both. Or they're too lazy to actually analyze the fight and so they just piggyback off of other people's opinions and feel validated by others like them, piggybacking off other people's piggybacks.
I would bet my nuts, that after watching the fight the first time, 75% of the people on here will never watch the full 12 rounds again, to actually decipher everything that's going on.
They instead use other people's opinions to validate their memory of the fight, which are based off of other people's opinions.
Less than 15% probably know what the **** they're actually talking about.
And yet here you are on a boxing forum instead of at ringside judging fights...:beerchug:
Here look i'll end it with this because I'm getting a headache making the same point over and over again.
I posted my scorecard in the lounge. I gave my summary of every round. Watch the fight again, and match my score with the round. If you're not blind, you'll see that I'm right, that I called the round exactly how it went down. I know this is true, because fights are easy to score.
If you're not blind, then you know what I'm saying is true because you can check it for yourself.
I have absolutely no doubt in my score or my ability to score a fight. I know i'm right, and if you check you'll know it too. The only way you wouldn't agree with me is if you don't analyze the fight.
And don't mock me by saying i'm some boxing god, because scoring is not that hard. It's not like punches are some mystical spiritual thing you need a third eye to see. You just have to look.
Would it be better if i watched the whole fight in slow motion.
I had the fight a draw Btw but knew GGG couldnt get the nod in a close fight in Vegas.
So odviously you consider yourself superior to all these people giving GGG the nod.
I think the challenger needs to blow the champion out not just get by by a bees dick.
The champ should always get the close decisions in fights like these.
I dont think he done enough to blow GGG out of the water.
funny because a lot of the canelo nuthuggers were saying ggg was going to be whooped/exposed/etc and yet canelo gets a 115-113 "victory"(thanks to the judges). that's far from "whooped"
I know what I saw, and anyone that disagrees with me can't score a fight.
