There's a general feeling that, regardless of outcomes, Gassiev and Golovkin could have done more. It's as if the ship wasn't being captained correctly.
Thoughts?
hahaha I like Abel and his stable but this post is hilarious. Sounds written by an elderly neighbour peaking out from behind the curtains from the Big Bear camp "THEY'RE OUT THERE RUNNING AGAIN MORTY!!"
:lol1: :lol1:
In this video of the Usyk/Gassiev fight you can see Abel getting very frustrated with Gassiev because he can't, or isn't trying, to do what Abel wants him to do. At one point, he even asks him "Do you want me to stop it?"
After the fight Gassiev mentions Usyk's experience compared to his own, which is limited in comparison. Murat is 24 yo and still pretty green.
With GGG, Abel may have another problem. Maybe GGG, at 36, and after all those fights and years of hard training, is no longer capable of doing anything different to what he did against Canelo. So the only thing Abel can do is get him as fit as possible and encourage him to keep doing it
Weird af lunatic that lives in the mountains trying to create mutants.
Watch his fighters train, any of them.
All you'll see are bizarre methods presumably to try and maximise power or some odd method trying to increase a fighters punch resistance.
He trains all these pressure fighters yet you'll never see him doing head movement drills, developing their right hands - exactly why Canelo was able to slide out in the first fight.
He's got great fortune\an eye for talent and conditions them well but as far as adding, bringing punches in, teaching, teaching them how to set up shots, improving their defense, offering technical advice he's awful imho
He's like an eccentric fan that wants to create some lab experiment that can't feel pain.
There is something true about it !
To me it sounds like you’re overweight no way I can take your kiddie opinion serious or anyone really knowing thangs at that would say likewise.
I'm overweight? What the **** are you talking about clown? The only one with a kiddie opinion is you when you say BS like this.
No he’s much better than canelos unknown meat factory trainers
Canelo's "meat factory" trainers have made Canelo a better boxer than Golovkin. As someone pointed out earlier Sanchez hasn't taught Golovkin the sweet science, improving defense, drilling in head movement, improving his right hand, etc. That should have been evident in the Jacobs fight. If Sanchez was a good trainer the first fight against Canelo wouldn't have been a draw. He's getting hit too much; no head movement, a predictable offense (double-jab right hand) and a lot of that blame goes on the trainer, but you don't see that because you are a clown. And the thing is he's been working with Golovkin for eight years, and I say this as a Golovkin fan.

He does seem to have an inability to change things on the fly, which could have cost him a G victory (I scored both fights as G wins myself, but changes made on the fly could have made them obvious to the judges) and Gassiev just seemed confused trying the same thing each round and getting face ****ed by Usyk.
I dunno. A level trainer...just not in that masterclass I guess
Tell me how d u body punch som1 whos shorter than u, and faster than u
Canelo str enough to hurt ggg
Anyway ggg was quite predictable
Jab jab straight right hand
I don't know **** abut boxing? Ydsab if you think Sanchez has made progress with Golovkin. It's true that Rooney didn't have much success with other fighters besides Tyson, but Rooney would have improved Golovkin for sure given Golovkin's talent level. Of course it's too late for Golovkin to switch trainers now.
Golovkin's fight against Danny Jacobs was all the evidence I need to know that Sanchez isn't the right trainer for Triple G. And I was rooting for Golovkin too.

I think he's a good trainer and he really pushed GGG to dig deep late in the fight and imo that rally at the end is what won GGG the fight and made him imo an atg, I really enjoyed watching GGG digging very deep and showing the world at almost 37 years old why he's the best and it was Sanchez who motivated him in the corner.
With that being said I think all that mexican style bs talk backfired as everyone including the judges was fixated on who was coming forward as opposed to who was landing more better punches which clearly was GGG, Abel's talk resulted in Canelo getting way too much credit for just coming forward which isn't a scoring factor imo.

Additionally I dont think he instructed GGG to go to the body once. We know Canelo has a great chin and the while I do think he got hurt a few times with headshots, he ultimately recovered very quickly.
We dont know how well he would have taken body shots and given Canelo's stamina problems previously and the fact that he has lost a lot of muscle it just seems like a lost opportunity.
It's downright bizarre that he didn't. Ask any fan what GG needed to do different and the answer was body work. The whole world knew it, but Sanchez still didn't call for body work, against a guy known to gas and who spend more than half this fight looking tired.
Rooney hahahahaha
Rooney is a bum trainer compared to Sanchez
Rooney is just not active, he would have been a better trainer for Golovkin instead of Sanchez for sure. Rooney would have improved Golovkin's defense, he would have made Golovkin more sharper, and make him use his jab more, because Golovkin fights somewhat similar to Tyson. The peek-a-boo style would have worked wonders for Golovkin. But oh well, it's a what if.
If that’s not you why are you responding on someone else’s behalf if you’re not one of those it shouldn’t effect you but from the looks of things...
This place has become a fuucking kkk gathering.
You are one of those guys that's too ignorant to understand why people laugh at him.

Thoughts?I tend to agree with that assessment. A trainers job is to assess both his fighter's and opponent's weaknesses and strengths.
The proper preparation for a fighter is key for any good trainer. I just simply believe that the Reynoso's simply out coached Abel on Saturday night.
They added several arsenals to Canelo's game plan; By improving his stamina, staying off the ropes, throwing more combination and body punches and forcing GGG to fight off the back foot etc.
Will copy and paste.
He sucks.
Another hack that's never boxed and offers zero tactical information its just stupidly vague **** like ''apply more pressure'', ''go for the knockout''. Never does he explain how. What they need to adjust, set up, an opponents tendencies, what to look out for.
He's just living through GGG and any half decent trainer would of got just as much out of GGG with the pedigree, ability and commitment he has. He'd be twice the beast he is under a Robert Garcia for example. He'd actually be the fighter his fans had hoped he was.
He ruined Terry Norris, GGGs limitations have been shown time and time again. Ponamarev was once promising, Gassiev just looked as limited of a fighter as you'll ever see.
He just has an eye for good talent and has been very fortunate.
A conditioning coach, an egomaniac whose been fortunate enough to have talent come his way. A glorified Frankenstein who makes fighters do silly neck and jaw exercises rather than honing their skills.
All he does tries to create zombies. He's a sadistic that spent his former life getting pitbulls to fight and kill each other.
