GGG was more consistent, more busy, and he landed more shots. How in the hell did Canelo win this one?
Easy to say GGG was winning since he took over the last few rounds, but people forget he started slow again giving Canelo a good lead.
The 12th round was the determing factor imo. Had Golovkin closed the show better it would’ve been a draw.
GGG landed more punches and completely outboxed Canelo. It should've been 7-5 or 8-4 for GGG
Can you give me a download link to the fight you watched? Because I didn't see that one
Close fights aren't robberies!!! That was an extremely close fight with a few rounds very close and tough to score.
If GGG had won 115-113 on 2 cards, not a robbery either.
Why can't people just enjoy a phenomenal fight? That was a classic between 2 great fighters, anyone who thinks robbery is a fanboy or doesn't know boxing.
Completely agree, was a great fight. And for me both boxers are winners. Amazing fight and, OMG, what a chin both have.
There were some bombs there and none of them seem hurt during the fight.
When some valuable GBP (not just Canelo) fighter will lose a close fight just by 1 or 2 points, then we can talk about GBP not being GBP. So far, it's a pattern - you go against Golden Boy fighter, you lose 10 times out of 10 even if the fight is competitive
Everyone who follows boxing consistently knew Golovkin wouldn't win a decision going in, and that's kinda sad in a way. I am sure Golovkin haters loved it but they won't when it happens to their guy. Close fight but GGG was never winning it unless he knocked out Canelo.
This to me has nothing to do with GBP being GBP. Just a close fight with good scorecards. No crazy scorecard just one hell of a fight where both fighters brought it. No shame at all in losing a close fight for Golovkin.

I didn't call this fight a robbery, just GBP being GBP. We will see more of that in the future

Exactly. For some strange reason, a ton of "fans" can't see things the other way. If it isn't scored exactly the way I want/scored it, it's a robbery. That's lame.
What a coincidence that Lara has a scorecard of 118-110 Canelo, GGG has a scorecard of 118-110 to Canelo and Floyd got a scorecard of 114-114 where he 12-0'd him but still people can't accept that Canelo's career is littered with robberies.
His entire career is based on close fights that were scored for him
Obviously the Mayweather draw scorecard was terrible, but Canelo had a case for every decision he got in every other fight. You could feel like Lara won, but Canelo certainly had a case. You could make a case Golovkin won the first fight, but Canelo certainly had a case for the draw. You could make a case Golovkin won the rematch, but Canelo certainly had a case.
Being frustrated he gets all the close decisions is valid. But you still can't call this fight a robbery, because it simply wasn't one.

You know, the first Ward/Kov fight. I've scored it for Kovalev, but I could see the way Ward won it, so I had no problem with people who scored it for Ward. It was a close fight that could go either way, yeah.
But when you have a fighter with his entire resume based on close fights that was scored in his favor every single time. I would understand if it happened once, even twice, but when it happens that often to the point when we all know he's never gonna lose a fight that even a little bit competitive....Now that's a problem. But what I'm talking about if even Mayweather couldn't get UD

No way you can call that a robbery. Very close fight with some close rounds. People are way too hyperbolic.

You could say he got every close decision, but you can't say this fight was a robbery. In no way shape or form was this a robbery.

A lot of people that watch the HBO broadcast get manipulated with Lederman's stupid scoring. He has it one way and people think that's how the fight is going. I can't believe some of the rounds he was giving Golovkin....And even the other way when he was giving Canelo clear Golovkin rounds.
This fight was 7-5 either guy or 6-6. That's it. I personally had Canelo winning, but I also had him having a solid lead heading into the last four rounds.
QFT!!!
I had it 115-113 GGG or 114-114. 115-113 Canelo is literally a few seconds of a couple rounds I might have missed something away from being my score card.
I will watch the fight again, but even though I may have scored it slightly different, Canelo deserves a win.
It was a close fight but I did score it for GGG. The sad thing is that Godenboy and their fighters have far too much clout and judging seems to be influenced as a result.
its a robbery imo, it was close-ish but 7 rounds to canelo? really how is that possible.
It's not only possible, it's what happened. I scored it even or 7-5 GGG, not sure which, but there were easily 3 tossup rounds in there.
I just don't understand it either. Guys need to stop scoring fights by what the punchstats say, stop scoring fights by what the announcers say, stop scoring fights by what the unofficial judges say, stop scoring fights by who you put money on or who you want to win and just watch the fight.
Right, I mean for majority of the fight it was Canelo landing the better shots. His body work was awesome but seems like folks just completely ignore it. GGG was throwing more punches and out jabbing Canelo which was keeping him in the game and then finished strong. But a lot of the middle rounds it was Canelo. Kind of the opposite of the last game.
