I think that you've missed the point. Here we go...... Was Floyd at his absolute best? No. But he wasn't far from it. His legs were brilliant, his jab was great and his defensive reflexes were like they always were. Manny was just INJURED. Not shot. If he was shot he wouldn't have won after that. And he certainly wouldn't have looked as good as he did against Mathysse. Both guys are not prime but they're not shot. If this is your way to dismiss the fight, wonderful. Don't watch. Point taken that it's easy to look good against a flat footed guy, but his speed, timing, reflexes, agility were all levels above where they were in the pac fight. Pac had also slowed considerably. A month ago Pac was back, stronger, faster, etc... Looked great against Mattyse, can still compete with the best! Now that Floyd has announced a rematch is Pac back to being old and shot fighter now? Floyd and Pac are both shot in their standards. They are just good enough to compete with good fighters today. But yup way past their primes nothing changed with the matthysse fight for me.
