Who Should Jermall Charlo fight this year?

Seems like Monroe is next for Charlo. Not an interesting fight at all but I guess he'll keep waiting until the WBC mandates him for the GGG vs Canelo winner. He's not signing to fight anyone until after Sept 15th. He's hoping the WBC issues the mandatory before the winner can sign a unification (in that month window), otherwise he's waiting another 4-6 months for his WBC shot. He should of already signed & kept the same schedule as the champs so he'll be available but guess he doesn't want to stay active, even if not risky opposition. You're always free if you're just on stand-by I suppose. WBC winner or if Jacobs wins are what he's holding out for.

Murata is available so is Murray Maybe even a Monroe Murata would be interesting and Charlo would get exposure to a new audience. Probably get well paid for it also. His first two opponents for various reasons weren't suitable. Heiland got injured and Centeno just wasn't very good. He needs to make a move..

I found Mal's comments regarding Monroe Jr Friday night pretty interesting. He all but said if Monroe Jr looked good he would give him a shot. I personally don't like the fight...but it's easy work. Monroe has zero power, and I'll go as far as saying Mal has a better boxing brain. So unsure what Monroe Jr can do other than get knocked out. I think if Monroe is willing to turn it around quickly (ie by EOY) than that is the next fight give him a shot at fighting him on an undercard lol

Murata is fighting Rob Brant in Vegas in October. And it seems Falcao and Akavov are fighting that night as well. So those are also out of the picture.. That leaves us with 2 M's instead of 3. Murray and Monroe.

Now that all the other top middleweights are fighting each other (Canelo vs GGG, Jacobs vs Derrevahcenko, Saunders vs Andrade ect) who can Charlo fight? He last fought in April and I haven't heard anything about when he will return. Looking on boxrec the top 160 pounders that don't yet have a fight scheduled for the end of the year are Martin Murray, Maciej Sulecki, Willie Monroe Jr, Luis Arias and Walter Kautondokwa.I like Sulecki and Murray the best. They would be much better than the two lousy middleweights he has defeated. Let's see if he is the crushing puncher he claims to be against a good rugged middleweight. Even Monroe would be a big step up but he modestly said he is too good for Monroe and Monroe doesn't deserve a fight with him.

They've been offered lucrative contracts from left to right, yet they choose to remain with uncle Haymon fighting scrubs for $500K. Maybe that's what they want. Safe at home with uncles fighting every 7-8 months, loiter around in between fights like stupid teenagers.

Is he the one who talked all that ish about Danny Jacobs then looked terrified in the backstage area when confronted? Yea he should fight Jacobs. He won't though.

He should earn with Hearn... Sulecki fight would be good for DAZN and for him. Maybe, Sulecki seems like the best option on that list, PBC doesn't have the kind of talent at 160 that they do at 154 or 147.
