What's funny is the same people losing their **** over GGG's reign as WBA 160 champion are also riding Gervonta's nuts and take his title as being legit.

Coming off a loss ? Check.
Coming up in weight ? Check.
Gervonta will fight him. Its pretty ridiculous how this dude has the WBA belt...he has done nothing to deserve it. Machado knocked out the real WBA champion Corrales and should be the Real champion right now. Make Davis-Machado so that Davis can actually earn his belt.

the cherry pick man in full effect. he wont even fight machado. hes laughable. it was at least reasonable when people said hes young and not ready for loma. HES NOT READY FOR ANYONE ALIVE

**** fight.
Khan vs Canelo
Brook vs GGG
Rigo vs Loma
Mikey vs Spence
All **** fights.
Prove who is the best in your division. Move up if you are out of challenges or you cant make weight. **** all these circus fights.
Rigo wasn't coming off a loss and the LDBC and Rigotards demanded that fight. He was p4p ranked at the very least.
I wasn't happy with Marriaga though. It was a last minute scramble for an opponent after Salido said yes then said no.
Davis-Farmer should have been easy to make. I'll ask you this though. You are happy with Davis fighting Cuellar and then Mares but were you unhappy with those Loma fights? Do you have a bias?
Incorrect.
I am unhappy with the following fighters recent runs of fights :-
Gilberto Ramirez
Miguel Berchelt
Olaksandr Gvozdyk (though he seems to have a big one signed)
Artur Beterbiev
Fighters I've enjoyed but not been overly happy with their recent opposition.
Of course you would. Look at how you absolve Loma for the Marriaga fight by blaming it on Salido just a couple posts ago.
You extend the benefit of the doubt to guys you like same as other posters. when others do it you call it making excuses.
Machado recently fought and is injured
Berchelt doesn't seem interested in fighting davis right now.
Santa cruz and russel jr want to fight each other before moving up
USA :usa:
Excuses, excuses.
Two back-to-back smaller, washed up opponents coming off losses isn't good as much as you like it. He better fight a #1 guy next otherwise he'll start to gain a reputation. Farmer isn't a #1 or 2 guy either.
You and others wouldn't be complaining if Davis was from another country so its a wash.

Machado? Berchelt? Santa Cruz? Russell? Why not try any of those? Why not just try and fight Farmer in November?
Are you happy with two washed up fighters coming off clear-cut losses moving up in weight as opponents? I don't think you'd be like this if the fighter was from a different country.

Farmer just fought 1 or 2 weeks ago so in no way would he be ready to fight Davis in October.
That will be the next fight though. Early next year an all american unification fight :usa: :usa: :usa:

I bet you didn't complain when loma fought a featherweight and a super bantamweight in back to back fights last year
hahahaha

Not interested in that to be honest, hell if anything fight the guy who won not the loser
Good point. Leo gives Davis a difficult fight cause of the volume punches. A toss up fight for me it's either leo wins by decision or Davis by knockout. Mares gets beat
Yeah, he deserves criticism for fighting two smaller dudes coming up in weight after losses back-to-back.
Mares really was never an effective Featherweight and is about 4-5 years past his best.

This is a bad match up but I'm not surprised. Gervonta's last fight was also against a smaller guy coming off a loss and moving up in weight.

Not the fight I wanted to see next. Machado was what I was hoping for. Farmer would've been ok only because it was a unification. otherwise, no need to fight guys that are the same level or lesser than your last opponent, especially coming off a loss at a lower weight.
Too many posters get caught in their hate when it comes to Tank but this dude is solid and hits hard. this is a TERRIBLE fight for Mares at this stage of is career. This could be a vicious KO loss .
Tank is inconsistent. If he's not on point for this fight, Mares could gas him out and grind him down. Sounds like a potentially great fight and should give us a better idea of what Tank is really made of.
Potentially great fight my ass. Mares's best days were at Super Bantamweight 5 years ago. Nobody was asking for this fight.
