It was an 8-4 affair, at the time of the fight like 90 percent of the people agreed Thurman won. I believe Porter has a right and his fight was much closer, but I don't get people trying to lump their fights together. Thurman beat Garcia clearly after a layoff.
Thurman had that fight no doubt. He took so many early rounds and even when Garcia came back late the deed was done.
The middle of that fight Thurman was hitting Garcia at will and all swift could do was throw the garsh at fresh air.
All Garcia had to do was stay busy, but he stood there waiting for something to happen. Thurman snatched the rounds he needed to win, and then looked busy even when he wasn't really doing anything. Garcia beat himself.
Obviously Thurman got ahead on the cards against Garcia, and went on cruise control. Thurman with the clear victory, though it was unspectacular. Thurman played it safe against a dangerous opponent.
The Porter fight was damn close though.
Thurman clearly won, it wasn't exciting at all but Thurman and his trainer had a perfect game plan. Also, that version of Keith wasn't 100% by any means. It could've been worse for Danny boy.
I had Brook over Porter 8-4.
I had Thurman over Porter 7-5.
I had Thurman over Garcia 9-3.
Even the rounds you give Garcia, they weren't clear cut. Dude looked bad coming forward and Thurman was still landing enough shots to give him a case for that particular round.
Because he is a crybaby and a poor sport who is very generous to himself when it comes to scoring his own fights. He has won a couple of fights most viewers thought he lost.He clearly lost this fight and he can't handle the reality of that.
It certainly was 8-4 fight and garcia just slow brained. Lol. I watch his fights and usually root for him but he is very slow, minded guy and it shows in his eyes and words when you watch him conversate
Thurman clearly won 5 of the first 7 rounds easy. I give Garcia three of the remaining 5 rounds. 2 of those were toss up rounds. 7-5 is how I score it and that's being generous to Danny. it wasn't a close fight by any means. Close fights could go either way. This one could only go one way, Thurman's way.
I thought Thurman had the early rounds easy and Garcia came on strong in the later half of the fight, I think Thurman won, but it was a good competitive fight.
It was Porter's best performance thus far.
I was expecting a fight riddled with head butts and clinches as a result of Porter's bulldozing style.
I was pleasantly surprised there was none of that.
It was an extremely entertaining fight.
I was okay with a draw.
Thurman beat Garcia clearly after a layoff.
I thought it was a close fight for Thurman. If you think it was 8-4, you're a biased Thurman fan. Garcia gave away too many early rounds and in a rematch he can make that adjustment easily.
It wasn't a year either, it was 8.5 months.
