Some posters brought it up in another thread, Ortiz was AJ's mandatory last year, AJ swerved him and Ortiz went on to fight Wilder.
I googled it, youtubed it, nothing, it's really strange. I cannot find a single instance of AJ ever mentioning Ortiz's name other than when Wilder beat him.
I mean you can find articles of AJ mentioning Pedvetkin, Whyte, Pulev, Fury etc. but when it comes to Ortiz it's almost as if he didn't exist?
Yeah, why would he? Ortiz has fought one real notable opponent and got stopped.
Also, Ortiz had a chance to get on AJ's radar and in line for a potential fight when he was fighting on Hearn's shows and ended up struggling with Malik Scott and stinking the place out.
Ortiz beat one half decent opponent 3 years ago.
I actually like Ortiz but let's just be honest and realistic. If he wants to get a shot at another champ, he should get back in a mandatory position and not fail a 4th drugs test before he gets his shot.
I would hardly call 120-105 scorecards "struggling"
Agree on the last part though. You're not going to get a title shot by hollering for one. Not if you're decent at least lol. You have to become a mandatory.
You are trying to make something out of nothing. AJ isn't avoiding Ortiz as you seem to be implying. AJ has been a good champion fighting worthy title challengers and if Ortiz is ever at the front of the line of top challengers he will fight him.
I don't recall this made up **** happening at all. "
Wait a second a Wilderette with WILDER as a Avatar and sig after a Wilder K.O claiming im making B.S up?????lol
Priceless ! :burnout:
"Following the rules for a unified champion you have to go chronologically in terms of when the mandatories are ordered. The IBF mandatory was ordered nearly a year ago and the WBA one was ordered a couple of months ago. We really want to fight Luis Ortiz in February or March and we’ll do a deal to fight him now. "
"I think what they want is they want to fight*Wilder, plus get some step aside from us. So that’s what they’re working on and I don’t see why we should. If the rules are going to be followed, which I think they will be, then I don’t think we need to give him step aside. We’d rather he didn’t fight Wilder and we’d rather he fought Joshua. ""
"We’ll give a fight at the Millennium stadium, he can have a nice warm up and then we’ll do the fight in February or March.”
THE ABOVE QUOTES ARE FROM HEARN THAT BOXING SCENE REPORTED ON September 1st 2017 .
The other articles im not that involved to find with Hearn addressing a contract to sign for Ortiz so as long as he doesn't fight Wilder but i dont care if a Dlck head believes me or not , you have actual BOXING SCENE Hearn quotes ,did i make them up to ? :dunce:
You're a real piece of work. You really should lay off the meth. I want you to address this quote from you:
"Ortiz threatened to go to court over it not getting Joshua even though he was GUARANTEED him after the Pulev fiasco ! ."
I'm ignoring you taking Eddie the worm Hearn's word as fact but you haven't addressed what I wanted you to prove. Not even close. You'd do anything to deflect from AJ's ducking which is pathetic or not even in an intelligent way.
Its around the net somewhere and you'll probably find it in related articles when Ortiz threatened to go to court over it not getting Joshua even though he was GUARANTEED him after the Pulev fiasco ! .
Instead of taking Hearns offer he threatened to go to legal b.s OR he wanted step aside money WHILE pursuing Wilder ,in which he was NOT entitled too bc he WAS Joshua SECOND mandatory !
Just stop making stuff up it isn't necessary. The onus is on you to prove it.
Thats the problem with you Wilderettes you think fights get made on social media, if you look at Wilders resume you will see its not the case ! :burnout:
Ortiz declined Hearns extended contract offer to GUARANTEE Joshua after Takam and PAY him not to fight Wilder by offering him a side U.K fight even hough Joshua HAD to fight Ortiz bc of the WBA mandatory position he lost by testing positive twice ( regardless of whatever ) and losing to Wilder .
Can you prove this cause this doesn't sound like something Hearn would do? I don't recall this made up **** happening at all.
I did see a video interview where AJ mentioned Ortiz when he (and Pulev) was a mandatory, but it's lost, buried on youtube. He talks about Ortiz like he talks about Wilder, as in not very enthusiastic and obligatory as he has to say something. Certainly now he hasn't talked about Ortiz at all like he doesn't exist.
Ortiz had already signed with Haymon and was close to finalising a fight with Wilder a month before Ortiz was even named mandatory. DiBella had even reserved 2 dates at the Barclays center for the fight. So the idea that Hearn and AJ swerved Ortiz is preposterous.
Remember Hearn tried to grow Ortiz's profile by giving him 2 fights with Scott and Allen, likely to grow interest in a future Joshua fight. One was even on the under card of the Joshua/Molina fight. That's how Hearn operates, he puts the ground work in to build future fights, it's why Povetkin fought Price on the Joshua/Parker under card and he's now fighting Povetkin.
Why would Hearn waste time and money building Ortiz's profile in the UK if he had no intention of making the fight and how would Hearn even duck the mandatory? Fact is if Ortiz had signed with Hearn instead of Haymon and not failed any doping tests he'd be facing Joshua now not Povetkin.
Was not Ortiz the WBA's mandatory a year and a half before he signed with Haymon in 2017?

Im not saying this to say anything about Joshua ducking or not ducking Ortiz. My response is more towards ypur eddie hearn comments about malik scott and dave allen. Eddie hearn new what he was doing with malik scott especially and so did malik scott he fought to survive once he tasted the power he made sure he wasn’t gonna get ko’d which if you ask anybody that knows boxing the hardest person to ko is a fighter that doesn’t wanna get ko’d. Knowing lying keniving Eddie hearn in order to make it look like Ortiz wasn’t worthy he would sign him to fight potential stinkers and at the same time get a pass for pretending to “help” him. Also another thing is when has a fighter besides Ortiz (who was later cleared mind you) been removed as a mandatory by one organization for failing a test in another organization ?
Read between the lines sometimes and dont let fandom control your thoughts.

Get your facts right, Ortiz CHOSE to fight Wilder and had his mandatory status revoked when he tested positive. Sorry to disappoint you but there was no swerving.

When you are a champ you fight others champs...You can never blame a champ for not mentioning contenders.. especially ones who failed multiple drug tests
