Frank Warren is confident he can get a deal for Tyson Fury to face Deontay Wilder before the end of the year.
Fury faces Francesco Pianeta on August 18 in his second comeback fight after a two-and-a-half year absence from the ring.
And if the Gypsy King comes through unscathed then Warren is targeting Wilder as the former heavyweight champion’s next opponent.
Dillian Whyte and Dereck Chisora both registered wins at the weekend in fights with Joseph Parker and Carlos Takam, respectively.
But rather than challenge one of the duo in a third comeback clash before facing a bigger target, Warren and his charge are gunning straight for Wilder.
Asked whether Fury would face Whyte or Chisora after the bout with Pianeta, Warren told talkSPORT: “Well, actually they’re two competitive and very good fighters but, with due respect to them, we’re actually trying to make the fight with Deontay Wilder.
“First of all we want to see what he looks like on the August 18. Hopefully he will come through it well, but reports from the gym are that he’s looking well.
“Tyson, as he’s said himself, has been talking about Wilder in the last few weeks and it’s a fight I think the British fans would like to see.
“It wouldn’t happen in the autumn, if it happens it will be sometime in November or December.
“That’s where I would like to see him, providing he comes through okay and that’s no disrespect to anybody. He’s the lineal champion. He’s the guy who hasn’t been beaten. He lost his belt outside the ring.
And despite Anthony Joshua struggling to get a bout with Wilder, Warren reckons he can bring the American and Fury together.
He added: “I’m pretty confident we can make it happen. It takes two to make a deal and if you really want to make a deal you will make it happen.”
Let me go on record here and say that if a Wilder/Fury fight happens before the end of 2018, I will give each and every poster on this board a million dollars.
The likelihood of the fight happening is less than zero.
When are you going to start paying off?
How about you stop getting emotional first, chat boxing like adults and stop with all the insults? You cannot chat boxing and resort to childish verbals altogether. First am not a Joshua fan, you spend your time focusing on Hearn when my post has nothing to do with him, that’s why I told you to stop riding him. I never get the reason why people like yourself ride someone that you have issues with. If you are not capable of discussing boxing without getting too emotional then I would have no choice to to add you like many of these emotional Wilder fanatics to the ignore list. So depending on your reply to this post I would either take up your bet as mutual respect to a response, or place you on the ignore list.
Yeah, I'm not reading that

How about we bet this fight gets announced by the end of this month? And lay off that "dck riding" $h1t, that's for you f@ggot nuthuggers, I prefer to roll with non $h1t eaters

Forget about Hearn, you riding him too much. Let’s focus on your new god Frank Warren. So he is going to get Fury to fight Wilder right? How about we make a bet that he doesn’t make that fight this year?

Sure idiots, $h1t on Warren because it fits you gay-for-AJ narrative. Just look at Warren's stable and Hearn's... What top level UK talent would trust Hearn with their career??? That's why he's desperate for US talent since they don't what he's about yet. But sure you focks, sure...

AJ is satisfied with mediocre defenses. Fury isn't. He gets fired up when he has an impossible challenge. Just like the Wlad fight, everyone wrote him off but it motivated him and brought out his best.
Plus, Warren and Fury seen the money we offered AJ and want to steal it for themselves. They can use AJ as a bargaining tool to leverage the most money for Fury. If they don't like our offer, they can threaten to make a deal with AJ instead. We don't want that fight to happen, so we have to give Fury big money to keep him interested.
Because Warren is worse than shithouse Hearn. No way would be allow that fight to happen this year.
no its warren who is way worse

I remember when everyone laughed at Fury before the Klitschko fight, was called a fat bum, would get KOd in the first, basically all the stuff people are saying now. He did look rusty against that last guy, but Fury clearly didn't take the fight seriously and one would assume he'll be all business against Wilder. One advantage that Deontay does have, he's such a halfwit that Fury's mental games probably won't work on him.

God you guys are stupid. You really believe what Fury is saying all of a sudden? We all want these fights to happen but man, Fury will not take a fight with Wilder after only two warm ups. And he wont fight AJ after 3 warm ups. And Wilder will avoid Fury and Whyte to fight Breazeale for 1 million which is odd because he called 15 million "crackhead money"
Yeah I just had to laugh at a lot of these posters that actually think this would happen lol. If Fury wasn’t with Warren I would actually have hope that this fight happens this year, with Warren involved there is no way he lets Fury fight Wilder after only two fights on his return to the ring after 2 years. And those tune ups are not only a joke but they aren’t suppose to be anything close to been dangerous.
What makes you think that? This isn't $h1t-house Eddie we're talking about.

Feels too soon for Fury unless he looks much sharper against Pianeta, but at the same time this is the only move he or Wilder could make to reclaim a bit of power from Joshua in the division
If Wilder's manager can make this happen, I'll retract all the dirt I threw at them for the past few months. Fury is absolutely beatable right now. He's still out of shape and incredibly rusty. Wilder should flatten him easy.
An confirm than we are in deep negotiations with @BronzeBomber team. For the fight. @frankwarren_tv @BTSportBoxing @HBOboxing @ShowtimeBoxing @BenDavison_ pic.twitter.com/Yj1MSCdB11— DON TYSON FURY (@Tyson_Fury) 30 July 2018
Well that makes it official. The fight is definitely on!
Looks like fisheyes is attempting the quick cash out, i would too tbh, Fury could easily lose to any one of these tune ups, stick him in with wilder make a few mill, and hope for the best.
The likely outcome is a KO loss...as much as i like to root for the underdog.
Fury was a 8/13 favorite according to oddschecker...i guess that was before the drugs, cocaine and inactivity though? guess he'll be at least a 3/1 underdog surely?
Yes....................... :)

Now here is a true Brit; With guts and character who is not afraid of taking risks or chances. Boxing fans all around the world appreciates him. We need more fighters with attitudes like that. Tyson Fury deserves an award for valor. He is defending his country's honor. British fans should be proud of him everywhere while the other guy is in secret hiding.

Now that's the spirit to have and the one I was expecting from Matchroom Boxing and Team Joshua but they really weren't interested in this fight which is perfectly fine; However just don't lie to the boxing public about it. All Eddie Hearn had to do was say no they weren't ready yet.
He didn't have to drag this fight out by prolonging the negotiations for as long as he did. All it took was for both sides to negotiate in good faith to make a deal.
