If Ward were to come out and take a cracknat Uysk who do you think wins? I know Ward wanted heavyweight but i think he is way to small for the big guys but I’d love to see Ward vs Uysk.
I think Ward would win this one. He would end up smothering Usyk's work and make the fight real ugly. Usyk also has no inside game and is kind of a head hunter. He'd have to fix that to have a chance against Ward.
Don't be a hater. He won Olympic gold and whooped everyone.
yes usyk did win olympic gold and yes he did whoop everyone. ward on the other hand refused to travel because he was a fighter who relied on breaking the rules and partial judging to win. if his skills were so amazing why did he constantly have to clinch, headbutt, wrestle, and low blow? all things that are clearly illegal. why didn't he just fight like he fought against paul smith? please answer this. the competition went up although it was still against slow or predictable fighters and immediately he resorted to nonstop fouling. a true sign he is not very skilled but very lucky he can get away with cheating.
never count ward out. we all saw him lose handily to kovalev but what do you know all the judges had him winning and had him winning rounds like round 10 which he clearly lost. all he has to do is survive to win(it of course will be in the usa since he is scared to travel). also thats all he practices. leapting headbutts and grabbing his opponent. he even tried to tackle kovalev by grabbing both his legs. he doesn't give a fu-kk. he will find some way to cheat and win. i have faith in him. he makes up for his lack of skill with his will to cheat and win.
No shot vs. Uysk. It ain't happening, if it does we will see.
He couldn't get close enough to employ those tactics. Too much speed and movement from Uysk, plus Uysk is just bigger and stronger.

I like Ward and loved when he totally humiliated Kovalev and made him look stupid, but Usyk is just barely behind Ward skill-wise and is a decent amount bigger than him so I'd pick Usyk for sure.
ward is not a skilled boxer. thats why he constantly cheats and uses illegal tactics. why do you think he did that? cause he simply couldn't win without it. did he do that against paul smith or alexander brand? no of course not. he had to do it against the best guys he fought in order to win or even make it close. thats a lack of skill when you have to break the rules just to be competitive. usyk doesnt have to do that.
I'm a Ward fan and would be rooting for him, but I can't see him winning this fight. It'd be tough just moving up against someone that big. But then you take into account Usyk's ability. No, I don't see it ending well for Andre.
Ward is 6'-0", 71" reach and is a boxer who tries to fight in close using wrestling tactics, rabbit punches and clinches.
Usyk is 6'-3", 78" reach and is a highly mobile boxer with the output of a lightweight.
Usyk would pick Ward to pieces because the guy would not be able to get close enough to find his comfort zone. He makes the other guy fight his fight but against Usyk he would be fighiting Usyk's fight the entire time.
ward doens't have to follow the rules and gets gift decisions. those are 2 very very big advantages.

that is if they fight in the US. outside of the US Ward has 0 advantages.
