Roman: Great kid (I was ringside at his last fight and had a nice chat with him) but I think he know he's gonna sell his belt to the highest bidder (Vargas, Dogboe, Rigo, De La Hoya). Et al. I really do like the kid and hope he gets paid...but he is not a "star".
Boo: You saw the "new and improved" Andrade at the DZAN conference (with his scary ass). He's best to just keep quite because he is odd AF. Richardson said it best once: "Boo-boo is a boxing fool." I agree. EXTREMELY talented. HOWEVER...he's way to small too do any real damage at 60. I don't know if he doesn't want to discipline himself or what's going on, but he could run 54 if he put his mind to it. He'll never see a belt at 60.
Vargas: Another kid I really like and I was rooting for him against Broner..butter-ah...pssst: I think Broner won that fight. ANYWAY, whose he gonna fight at 47 now? Khan? I think we know Eddie is gonna keep Khan away from ANY danger until the Brook fight. Sam Eggington? Ted Cheesman? He sure as hell won't get that run-back with Broner, nor will he get it in with 1x, Porter, Danny, et al. They will overpay for Lamont. Watch. Meh.
Mo Hooker: Listen. He is local, and I've been rocking with him since 99.9% of you even heard of him. But Saucedo ethers him. I have to keep it real.
Big Baby: According to Dmitry he is with Salita productions. According to Jarret, he is is OWN promoter. We all know what time it is. Miller is nothing but a ROAD BLOCK to keep Wilder away from AJ.
Let's please remember everyone who was woofing BIG ***** talking about how Eddie is gonna take over American boxing. Shiiiiii....all I saw was him make some offers, get SLAPPED DOWN publicly and sign nothing cast-offs and road-blocks.
Not a good look, Hearns. I have zero skin in this but I have to give this a D. Matchroom USA appears thus far to be a flop. The boxing world is LAUGHING at you! Ha Ha
I'd pick up DAZN if it was available over here for the WBSS. Especially if they end up having build up shows & extra content that was hinted at a while back.
You'd get a month for the cost of one of ITV's WBSS PPVs.
Slightly off topic but i've not heard who's airing the new series of WBSS over here. Probably ITV again.
The reason Americans don't like Eddie Hearns is because he tries to insult our intelligence.
Just by looking at your headline it seems that if anyone did in fact insult your intelligence, it was justified.
You guys are missing the point of DAZN. Extra investment means more money into boxing and more fights etc, why you want it to fail is beyond me. I know a lot of people see it as being loyal to American wilder but it really is a completely separate issue!
Beyond that, people keep talking about attracting the casuals. Please listen to the DAZN team and ceo and their strategy. They are not aiming to capture casuals to begin with, that isn’t there target audience. Their initial target market group is the hardcore fans.
says the guy most likely wishes the demise of al haymon and PBC...hahaha you cant make this stuff up...and even if you, personally, didnt wish it...you know many fans that cheer for the same fighters did wish for the PBC demise...lol
not only has joshua shamed his nation...but you guys are a shame to boxing fandom
nah man! listen to the AJ fanboys! nex monf hearn gonna sign mikey the charlos and the charlos unborn kids and wilder and all wilders kids and floyd and ummmm who else?

I know now that a lot of people in this thread is not a boxing fan because they wish that DZN flops instead of actually being successful. Isn't that a good thing for boxing? Why the hell are you wishing an investment to boxing be ending in failure because you don't like the man?Because it's Business Administration 101 to never throw good money after bad. I'll admit DAZN app is a great complementary tool for us boxing fans. However, if the targeted market is casual fans then the venture will fail because mainstream audiences are not going to purchase a service from a sport of boxing athletes that they don't know.

You can tell many people here still live with their parents and also have no clue about how business works if they think a business is supposed to be ultra successful this quick.
Obviously things can change butnfrom what’s reported Matchroom has up to 8 years but are only guaranteed 2 years
And DAZN might be the next Netflix for sports in America if they get the fights to major sports
But in your opinion after the initial rollout do you think that the fighters that were presented ( AJ , Andrade,Vargas , Taylor , Miller ) and the initial fights planned
AJ / Povetkin
Miller /Spillzka
Andrade /TBA
Vargas / TBA
Taylor / who gives a sh.it
Is enough to make hardcore boxing fans purchase the App or will lead to any casuals wanting to purchase the app strictly going off boxing content
I think the best thing they have going for hardcore boxing fans is having the WBSS and to some extent AJ/Povetkin( AJ never had good #s on Showtime and I think the last couple months have tarnished his reputation among North American boxing fans ) besides that none of the fighters / fights announced will create any traction among boxing fans or casuals
My greatest fear and biggest misgiving about this online subscription based streaming service is the limited amount of audience it will attract. I fear that a lot of boxers who are not known by the American mainstream public will be marginalized and lost in the shuffle fighting on the web as opposed to television.
Moreover, it will make it more difficult for them to become box office
crossover stars because hardly any casual fans would be browsing the web looking for these fighters because they won't know them. One is going to have to become a boxing fan in order to find and download this app.
So if it was Hearn's idea to help broaden his viewership among the American casual fan with the DAZN then the venture won't work. The reason being is because boxing is no longer a popular sport in the states. Moreover, it is hard enough to find boxing on television nowadays and perhaps as twice as hard to find it online if you are not a boxing fan.

This place is really full of financial illiterates who pretend to know their ****. This also seems to work on many of the other morons.

You think my timeline of experience begins since Trump came into office you? My experiences predates Trump by years and years you mongoloid chimp peasant.
Honestly, you sound insane. You either have a mental problem or are on drugs and even a combination of both.
Next time you engage me like this, you're going into cold storage. Do we understand each other?
Standard. No response so resorts to insults. Laughable ones at that.
Hearn is taking over.......PERIOD!
He's starting out exactly how he started here in the UK, starting from the bottom with low key signings, not many marquee names.
Now look where he is! Give the knobhead time and he'll make it a success believe you me.
The takeover is real America. Stop crying and sit back and enjoy the ride P.u.s.s.y
The general consensus everywhere that the US is filled with stupidity is more because a reality TV star with multiple failed businesses and absolutely no integrity was voted into office based purely on his pro-USA, anti-the world rhetoric (which makes your next post incredibly ironic).
Donald Trump represents the US of A and there is not a week gone by where he does not come across like a bumbling idiot... that's something that everybody sees. Naturally that isn't the case for all Americans but the President tends to be a representation of the people and that is the representation the people chose.
That's not to say that everybody is stupid though of course, which leads me onto this:
So in one post you have an issue with stereotypes and in the other you actively display them?
Just as the US isn't filled solely with stupid people the idea that the UK is solely racist is downright ridiculous.
Inevitably the UK's global standing has been damaged dramatically by Brexit (something that the US president supported by the way) but that doesn't change that the UK itself is diverse and that it's capital city is viewed as one of the most multi-cultural cities on Earth.
Couldn't agree more with this post.
