Eddie says:
"I spoke to Anthony yesterday and I think what we're going to do is all the terms that were agreed by Deontay Wilder have now been put into the contract. They've had them now for over a month, and they haven't done anything, so I think what we're going to do, we're going to sign the contract. "Anthony Joshua says let's sign the contract and put it in front of them, rather than them thinking that we're bluffing for some bizarre reason, or we don't want the fight.
So AJ now wants to sign the contract and send it. Then all Wilder has to do is sign and he has fight. The fight that AJ is so scared of. Will he sign?
Where are the signed contracts per the WBA order?
No such news has been publicised.
Say what you like, the WBA order has not been met.
Why would they publish the contracts? Most of this is done via e-mail's between the teams and the sanctioning body.
The WBA give them the 24 hour deadline, Hearn e-mail's them saying they have already agreed terms and need to finalise the date in September, Povetkin's team confirm this (we all knew the terms were agreed a while ago).
Hearn was transparent with both the WBA and Povetkin's team throughout the whole process. The WBA never required signed contarcts within 24 hours, the final contract was probably just signed once Wembley was confirmed, both teams had already agreed the majority of terms.
Uninterested in unification... whilst holding 3 of the 4 trinkets. Boxingscene logic.
Yeah but Parker's belt was seen as an easier pickup than Wilder and who is he fighting next a champion? Nope. Maybe it's just a coincidence he can't take on the stiffest challenge. We don't see Golovkin passing over Canelo for Derevyanchenko do we?
I've heard of calling someone out when you have a fight signed but not sending out a contract. They have to come back with a percentage now or Joshua has a new excuse in pricing himself out of the fight, although some will undoubtedly blame Wilder for not accepting the weasel Hearn's offer. If that happens then it is fitting that Joshua hold the WBA bc he is the new Valuev or the protected European champion who is uninterested in unification.

What a waste and exercise in futility? The fight is not happening unless Matchroom boxing and Team Joshua is willing to sit down and agree to Team Wilder's terms. Until then there will be no deal. Eddie Hearn might as well tear that last contract up. They could save that Wembley April 13, 2019 date for the winner between Parker and Whyte.
Why on earth would Team Joshua have to agree to Wilder's terms? Wilder doesn't hold all the cards, Joshua does. I can near enough guarantee that the terms are going to be far more favourable to Joshua than they are Wilder.

Typically in this scenario you wouldn't want to look past your next opponent. WTF would Wilder sign to fight before he knows if Joshua will win vs Povetkin? But I understand these Brits are new to this sport and therefore have accepted Joshua's win as a forgone conclusion.
What’s your our opinion of AJ saying he would sign the contract immediately for $50 million if offered only to decline and say he doesn’t care about money.
What’s your opinion of AJ willingly to fight AP but saying he needs more time in training camp to fight DW?
And finally do you think that it’s unreasonable that if AJ doesn’t care about money he offer wilder what ever wilder wants to make the fight happen?
If AJ had plain rejected the $50m then I would see it as a duck, but they countered and made another offer to Wilder on their terms, which was eventually "accepted". Can't complain about it.
To be honest, I don't really understand the thing about training camp time, as a date for Joshua - Wilder hadn't been set. I assume this would prevent the fight happening in July or August, but would have been no barrier from September onwards.
I can't recall AJ ever saying anything about not caring about money. I've heard Wilder say it. I don't think it's unreasonable to not give into Wilder's demands. If AJ/Hearn gave Wilder what he wanted the split would be 50-50, Wilder would have a rematch clause and it would be in the US. Why would anyone give up the leverage that their success and popularity bring to the table.

and it would have been if wilder has signed the contract and not hang on to it for weeks with no ink in his pen.
Wilder is a bum who has the mentality of a bum champion and talks a good fight but when given the opportunity takks rather than fights.
they are both champions and professional fighters, there is no need for all the childish talk, this is all u guys can do n i wont even entertain it. signing a future contract for a fight of this magnitude with upcoming fights makes no sense, anything can happen and wilder will be locked into a contract and it will be even bigger in 04/2019. wilder being the b side in a rematch if he wins makes no sense and needs to be removed from the contract. they should revisit negotiations after the pedvtkin fight. the contract eddie is speaking of was already denied and turned down. wilder agreed to 15mil flat fee for a fight NEXT with aj.... the the mysterious WBA 24 hour deadline ruined it (SMH) the fight will be even bigger after both fighters win their next fights. wilder deserves a decent percentage not 50% or a flat fee. 35-40% is fair.
he agreed to $15mil for the fight to be next sir and it would have been if wilder has signed the contract and not hang on to it for weeks with no ink in his pen.

No he's not.
Joshua needed Martin to get a belt and kick start his career to earn more. Joshua needed Klitschko for the signature win to increase his reputation and earning power.
Joshua doesn't need Wilder at all. Joshua wants Wilder because he wants to be undisputed but he doesn't need him... he could go on fighting every other challenger whilst Wilder picks up his scraps.
Wilder on the other hand needs Joshua, else Wilder will be limited to Haymon fighters and then the fanbase he's won recently will become sick of him fighting bum after bum.. whilst everyone that isn't a Haymon fighter will be chasing Joshua for the payday + 3 belts.
Wilder shouldn't agree to the same terms as before but let's not pretend that Wilder himself is in any position of power here because he's not.
All completely true. Wilder has said money doesn’t matter (“why is everyone counting my money”) and yet it would appear that’s the stumbling block despite being 5-7x , maybe even more, his biggest payday.

Its done, undercard fights are being announced, theyve started VADA testing. No point in announcing it at the moment as sports news in the UK is flooded by the World Cup. They want a big impact when its announced, national headlines, it wont make the desired impact at the moment
Let me know when AJ actually SPEAKS FOR HIMSELF!
They coming to promote the Povetkin fight, painting and putting in place a narrative to run with because they know Wilder is the only question people will ask so him and AJ will just say..."Well We Sent Wilder A Signed Contracts We're Waiting For His Signature" So PREDICTABLE!
The terms have been agreed for a while, the WBA are aware of this, they just needed to confirm the date and venue.
It's been widely reported that it would be September if it was Povetkin.
Press conference with Povetkin next week, as stated in the article.

You got that right. This aint no Martin, who won his belt by luck. And this isn't Wlad, who was washed and whose name convinced a sanctioning body to throw in a vacant belt.
He is trying to fight Wilder, the guy with THE GREEN BELT, who has been champion over two years longer and has had over 3 times as many title defenses.
He is worth much, much, more than Martin or even Wlad for that matter...

AJ had no belt. He's bringing 3 belts to the table this time, completely different scenario.

Again, what Wilder is worth to AJ and Hearn has little or nothing to do with Wilder's previous purses. Hearn hasn't used that in previous negotiations so I find it funny they are going to that now.
Just one more sign they don't really want that smoke.
For example, Martin had a belt and had never had a purse over 500K, yet got 8.5 million (17x his biggest payday) because they wanted THAT belt.
Well, Deontay has THE belt.
What is seventeen times Wilder's biggest payday?
My apologies for actually using logic, and common sense to think for myself, instead of accepting Hearn's line of crap.
You should try it sometimes...

How is it lowball? Wilder has said repeatedly, he's the baddest man on the planet, the most feared boxer in the history and everyone is scared to face him. In spite of all that, not only is AJ prepared to fight him but he will pay Wilder 5x more than what he's earnt before.

There comes a time when even the most fanboy of fans has to see the light.
You send a lowball offer you never thought would be accepted in the first place; then when it was accepted under the condition that it be the NEXT FIGHT, you dragged your feet sending a contract; then finally sent the contract with no date or venue; then dragged your feet giving an answer when those two questions were asked.
Then somehow- conveniently- a sanctioning body gave you a 24 hour deadline you used as an excuse to make sure the fight WOULDN'T BE NEXT, but you are going to still send the same lowball contract that never got signed because it WAS NOT NEXT for the guy to sign?
This after the 24 hour deadline has come and gone almost 2 weeks ago with no other fight announced. And this after the guy who got tired of your crap has made it clear that he isn't going to accept another lowball offer going forward.
If that is not purposely negotiating in bad faith to avoid a fight, I don't know what is...
